It was scheduled to go direct to Bruntingthorpe but as the bad weather meant it couldn't get in the plan was to go to BHX until it could, similar to the Transaero 747 last winter. It appears that somewhere en-route the plan changed and it went to EMA instead. Why, I don't know, but BHX has a reduced runway landing category for the time being and there has been a very low cloud base all day so that may have possibly been a factor.
