Tonight's KLM night stopping 738 is PH-BXA which is in the retro livery.

The BHX website is showing a Turkish flight to IST departing at 05:00 tomorrow morning as TK5870. Has one gone tech today and can't get out before the runway closure?

THY 1969/70 from Tuesday did go tech.
I am not sure if it couldn't be repaired before the runway closure,or if a part had to be brought in from elsewhere, and then rescheduled for a morning departure.
It has to be said I can't remember a THY flight suffering a tech delay such as this for a good while.
Their reliability record in the 5/6 years they have been at BHX is one of the best.

Thanks for the info, it's definitely a rare occurrence to see Turkish with a problem.

Hi Fly A332 CS-TFZ is due in 10 mins or so to operate the weekend MOD flights. It'll be interesting to see if it's still in the Flynas livery.

AFR1564 tonight is showing as an A321 F-GTAD.As I type this it is taxiing out at CDG expecting to arrive BHX at around 1900. :good:

Being reported on the BBC news website (as well as other sources) that a computer failure at NATS in Swanwick is causing big delays on flights departing from the Southern Airports. I have seen reports that all departures from LHR/LGW/STN are on hold and arrivals are being parked wherever there is any space (LHR apparently using the Cargo Ramp area). I know the Turkmenistan and Emirates flights have been delayed from BHX at present (Turkmenistan lined up on the runway and then returned to stand and the Emirates has not moved since it arrived on stand). The last update I saw shows a time of 1900 hrs for the problem to be resolved.

Looks like there are going to be a few flights out of position and considerably delayed due to this one.

Looks like chaos down south.

EK40 departed just after half 4 (3 hours late) and TUA416 around quarter past five (4 hours late).

There seems to be a couple of Flybe cancellations and Brussels Airlines have cancelled all flights. BHX arrivals is showing quite a few delays but nothing more than a couple of hours at the most.

Ex Monarch A321 G-OZBP is parked on one of the 70's stands and is now in Aegean Airlines livery.

Forgot to add the weekly Titan 757 IT flight to Chambery and the Easyjet flights to Geneva and Grenoble have now started 🙂

3 movements of note this morning.
The morning LH952/3 from/to FRA was an A321(D-AIRR)as is the morning MUC D-AIDP due in at 09:46.The THY A330-300 is TC-JNK,no prizes for guessing is a first visit.Due in at 10:08. :good:

It looks to have been a very busy day today with flights filled to the brim, Air France have also had A321's with F-GTAJ just arrived.

Air India will be daily as of tomorrow 🙂

I nipped up to the top of the car park on my way home and noticed 737 (BBJ) N500LS is parked on the Elmdon Apron.

Gainjet 757 SX-RFA is about to land. This 757 is in a VIP configuration.

The aircraft left BHX on the 18th and routed to Doha via Cagliari, the return today seems to have been Doha-Turin-BHX :s_dunno

One for all you photographers.
This mornings Austrian A320 is OE-LBP which is in the retro livery due in at 09:33.

Thanks for the heads up, the weather is atrocious but I just can't resist a retro livery so I attempted a couple of photo's 🙂

Air India's newest Dreamliner VT-ANS is due on today's AIC 113/4, I assume it's a first visit?

Tomorrow morning should see the first visit of a Helvetic E190 on LX420, due at 08:05.

Just had a quick look on FR24s arrivals page and noticed that an ABX air B767-200F is currently on it's way into BHX.It is coming from Wilmington using flight number ABX91,due into BHX @ 10:12.Originally due in @ 08:32.
Can anyone confirm that this is genuine? If so I might pop up and have a look.

Also slightly late but the Helvetic Emb.190 did turn up on the evening Zurich flight.Congratulations to anyone who saw it as it was very foggy at the time.It was HB-JVL for anyone interested.

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
