Noticed an RAF C17 land this morning at about 0550.
I don't know if it was a medevac flight or a Brize diversion.Anybody know anything?

I wonder how accurate that info is.It is down as an A319..
According to plane spotters.net and their database Air Austral do not have any A319s.
So unless it is coming in for maintenance prior to lease, then this info might be a bit dodgy.
Happy to be proved wrong, and as I'm not in work I might even pop down and have a look!

Re: Thomson—I'm not looking forward to seeing the 757s phased out if only 737s are going to replace them. Hopefully BHX will have grown enough by the time the 757s leave to justify some short haul 787 flights—something which was actually rumoured last summer but never happened.

In my opinion it would be a huge failure for BHX in the leisure market if we didn't have two full-time based 787s by 2020.

Evening all....Looks like G-ZBAS on its way to BHX from Gibraltar. Not sure if it's a first visit. Flew on it two weeks ago LTN-DLM.....Nice aircraft, but strangely all seat back headrests have Air Asia on them!

Cheers

Karl

I think I can guess its previous operator :)

Some flights have been upgraded this morning as the half term rush starts.

Aer Lingus used A321 EI-CPE.
Swiss used A320 HB-IJJ in place of the usual Helvetic F100.
Lufthansa are using A320 D-AIQU on their flight from Munich in place of the usual A319/E195.

Tomorrow we have three flights from Vueling.

Alicante starts (bought forwards due to school holidays no doubt) with FR24 showing EC-MCU on the first one, due at 08:45.

We also have two Barcelona flights with EC-MKX due at 08:55 and EC-LAA due later at 14:20.

Blue Air are using an A320 again tomorrow.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!
If anyone would like to share their local airport news right here in our news area let me know so I can give you the correct permissions to do so. It only takes a couple of minutes to upload a news story with an accompanying image. The news items can then be shared on the site homepage by you. #TakePart #Forums4airports Bring the news to one place!
survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
