A broadly similar downturn across the board, with notable exception of Luton, presumably due to Wizz keeping many routes going to Eastern Europe, and Heathrow who have benefited as a 'focus point' during this difficult period. East Midlands must be very concerned with their steep drop in passengers.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry. Amazing stats.

Been away from this site for a while, but coming back I see nothing has changed since my last visit.

I think I said then that 2020 has pressed the reset button. 2021 does not look much better. Even if the UK thinks it is safe, other countries may not be. So just sigh and see how it goes.

My heart goes out to the workers in the industry, and all others, who have lost jobs. Terrible.

But we will get there!

The stats would relate to Gloucestershire Airport (Staverton) GLO/EGBJ as the CAA stats page does not include Cotswold Airport (Kemble) GBA/EGBP.

I'm not sure how the CAA arrived at five passengers. GLO is an extremely busy GA/bizjet airport with more overall annual movements than BRS (pre-pandemic), but the passengers on these flights never seem to be counted by the CAA. When GLO had scheduled fights to such destinations as the Isle of Man and Jersey they constituted the passenger numbers featured in the CAA's monthy/annual passenger statistics - in 2014 for example the GLO-IOM route handled over 14,500 passengers.

Not great reading but when taking into account where the world is at the moment some of those are encouraging.

As new routes that started in the middle of this mess, for Iasi and Craiova to be at 58% and 62% respectively should give hope that they will do very well when normality resumes.
