As always the CAA data differs from the airport's own statistics, so here is the CAA take, plus an analysis of the top 25 performing route for July.

Excellent work as always SD but AUH 100.85% now that's impressive :)
It is indeed Ian!! The EY flight was shown as being operated by a B78X, with a standard seating configuration. FR24 does not show any other flights on the route in the whole of July and so there is nothing else that I can add.

do thet count babies as passengers? are really young babies still allowed it sit on their parents laps, if so this might count for the extra .85%?

A slightly different perspective of the airport statistics. This is just a small selection of the 65 airline statistics that I gather on a daily basis.

Officially announced - the airport has now passed the 30m passenger figure in a moving calendar year.
Great news.

I believe this is a record for the speed with which Manchester have produced their monthly statistics - maybe the new record of over 30 million passengers in the moving year might have had something to do with it!!

I nearly overlooked this set of data - 2019 v 2024

Just as an aside, since the summer peak is now over, the first week of October (1st-7th) managed 4,154 flights, compared with 3,965 in the same period of 2024.

Here, slightly belatedly, is my take on load-factors in August. I need to revisit the data for Milan Malpensa as the figure is over 100pc - I suspect there may have been a number of sport related charters that month.

As usual loads for ADD, IAH & SIN are inaccurate as they are shared flights.

I'm pleased to attach my analysis of the CAA August data for Manchester. As always the CAA data has differences from the file produced by the airport itself. E&OE

I did say in post #1231 that there was a problem with the load-factor for Milan Malpensa. Having checked my daily logs for the whole month I've now found that easyJet introduced an extra weekly flight and, taking that account, the amended load-factor is 94.97%

My final offering, for the time-being at least, based upon the CAA data for October:

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!
If anyone would like to share their local airport news right here in our news area let me know so I can give you the correct permissions to do so. survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
