Good to see Aer Lingus back again. If I've got this right, it's the fourth incarnation of Aer Lingus we've seen at LBA. Aer Lingus mainline in the 60s and 70s, Commuter in the 80s and 90s, Stobart in the 2010s and 2020s and now Emerald. What next ?

Yes good to see and it will make LBAYorkie happy I am sure.

Shame they got their wires crossed badly though regarding the Belfast route, stating it will commence flights from mid May, when in fact they are already operating and LBA should have been included in the list of start up routes.

What Emerald were saying is that there will be additional flights from mid May, not that the route starts mid May.

It's really disappointing when a specialist journal gets it so wrong as it could actually lose Emerald bookings on the route between now and mid May. You expect errors in the likes of the YEP but not in this publication.

Especially disappointing when the same article has a quote from Emerald clearly stating the service from May is additional to those already existing. In common with many publications these days it seems checking before publication has gone out of the window.

Aer Lingus Regional has brought the date forward for increasing the frequency of the Leeds to Belfast City route.
It was due to increased from the current 13x to 16x weekly from start of winter timetable in October, but will now increase to 19x weekly starting from Monday, July 24th.

3x daily Mon-Fri & Sun
1x daily Sat

They seem to be giving Flybe a right fight!

Has anyone any experience of Are Lingus's transatlantic service on their new 321 Neo's?? I'm due to be heading back from Washington in January and the choices seem to be change at either Dublin, JFK, or Heathrow to get back to either LBA or MAN. Dublin is the cheapest option by a margin. Any thoughts anyone? TIA

No experience, sorry but would love to do IAD-DUB on an A321. Ending up at LBA of course!

I flew MAN-JFK on their A321. I great experience there and back, they board in MAN on the new pier every time which is a great experience. The service is great onboard, food and drink service is above average.

Only downside is they fly from Jet Blues terminal at JFK - which is arguable the worst.

No delays and efficient service both flights.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
