She is wearing Purple (Flybe)
There seem to be a few crowns in the background (London City)

The fact it is a child makes me want to throw a curveball and think it's a destination all children would love to go and that is DisneyWorld Florida. (If that is the case then maybe Virgin)

Perhaps it could be the PSA route announcement? are BE/T3 going to keep it?
I'd be surprised if it was. I don't see that as exciting. I'd imagine when it does get renewed there wouldn't be a fanfare.

Virgin would definitely be exciting!
Another possibility could be BA Cityflyer on the weekend?

No to BA. They are at BRS.
I wouldn't read too much into the GIF. It's one used quite often not just on CWLs page. I think the only clue is the plane symbols. Which doesn't give much away.

The clue may or may not be in the tweet.
What was the clue then? It certainly wasn't obvious if it was regarding Ryanair...
And the announcement this morning was the one you said to wait as it wasn't very exciting?

In other news I noticed the CWL Wiki page had again been edited, this time someone had added PMI to the list of Flybe destinations... So as usual, a guesswork by someone?

That PMI has been on there for a while. I'm surprised it hasn't been taken down. Only clue i can see in the gif is the 5 planes representing 5 weekly flights.
It is good news that Ryanair is offering Malta but not as exciting as the tweet made out!

Any new routes are extremely welcome (even if not the dream ones !) - Malta a very welcome addition to the departures boards. Not really sure what FRs strategy towards CWL is - maybe softly, softly to check impact at BRS ? I have no doubt the owners (Regional and City) of EXT will have provided a great incentive for them there as they really need to diversify away from just BE (esp given their less than robust financial performance in recent years - a sensible business move).

Maybe R&C will try and entice them to NWI.

Ryanair has not expanded much at Bristol in recent summers - 125 weekly rotations in summer 2018.

Where it has expanded and continues to expand is in winter where this coming winter will see 90 rotations per week, whereas in 2015/2016 there were 55.

It will be very significant if the route is continued into winter 2019/2020. CWL has traditionally done well in the summer but the winter has been a different matter. It really needs to show it has a 12 months a year capability. If Qatar does well in this coming winter (it ought to in that it's serving the southern hemisphere summer) that might be an important step along the road.

LY - u are right. When I worked for a seasonally driven airline, the CEO used to say he wished he could just shut the airline down for the winter months and operate Summer only !! but with all those fixed costs, airframes, HO colleagues etc they had to keep flying !

Hence why the likes of FR and VY should be suited to CWL they can put capacity into CWL without committing to year round bases (as they have enough overseas bases to service) and the associated costs as Baby discovered years ago.

A lot of people seem to know CWL can perform exceptionally well in the Summer given the right opportunities. However, winter is a different ball game.

If only CWL could tap into the Ski Market more like Bristol has.

Looking at growth for CWL this winter and all CWL has is an extra 1 weekly Geneva from Flybe, an extra 1 weekly Alicante from Vueling and the 5 weekly Doha route.

2019 New/Returned routes so far

NEW Naples TUI starts 1st May
NEW Hurghada TUI starts 6th May

Bristol has had an exceptional ski market for many years, better than some bigger airports. CWL used to have Innsbruck, Toulouse, Plovdiv and possibly Salzburg and Sofia (a cursory check of my 'archives' only revealed the first three) although not every one at the same time, but most were in the mid-late 90s and early noughties.

Will GVA be 3 x weekly this coming winter? What about Chambery? That's an old route that Flybe restored.

Geneva is 2 weekly and Chambery is 1 weekly. But honestly i wouldn't hold out much hope for any more ski routes or any future winter routes from Flybe.

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?

I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,
