Use this prefix for new threads for Manchester Airport
Just one slight concern. Publicity so far indicates Ryanair MAN fleet will be 12-strong over the June to September period. I will be interested to learn how steep the drop-off is beyond this and how the new routes will be progressed outside peak season travel period.

3 more 737s at T3 Any implication for cuurent operators at that terminal?

As I understand it they will be remote parking on the T3 apron and then towed onto stand as soon as the first few aircraft have departed from 'gated stands'.

Did't think there was anywhere on T3 apron to remote park.

I thought these were operational stands FR used anyway

I must admit it is a long time since I was up at the airport to view around T1 that I might be wrong.

I thought that the more distant stands were classified as remotes.

Physical stands being maxed out are not a barrier to the number of aircraft that can be based. Terminal and runway capacities are the restricting factors.

Tremendous stuff. They have covered a lot of ex-Monarch routes (in bold). As a BHX follower is it ok for me to say I'm envious? 🙂

-10 new summer routes to: Agadir (2 wkly), Almeria (2 wkly), Barcelona Reus (2 wkly), Belfast (daily from March), Cagliari (2 wkly), Palermo (2 wkly) Ponta Delgada (1 wkly), Porto (3 wkly), Rhodes (2 wkly), & Venice Treviso (3 wkly)
-More flights to: Alicante, Bologna, Chania, Faro, Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria, Ibiza, Lanzarote, Lisbon, Malaga, Mallorca, Naples & Tenerife

Very pleased with this expansion from Ryanair. Hopefully more to come with EasyJet!

Always one to see a slight downside to all good news, I would like to have seen a mid April start with say an October finish.

Very much in "short arsed" Rouge territory here.

BIG SHOUT OUT to USER who scooped us this news before Christmas and on this forum

Wow wow wow. Quite some expansion at MAN. The better thing that Ryanair can offer over easyJet et al. is the away based units that can utilise the airport, the terminal space, apron space, much much much better then any other carrier. So not only will we see 3 aircraft over at MAN but possibly a lot more rotations from other bases. This is also probably where some of the increases are coming from (PMI, FAO, ALC, TFS etc).

Thanks to User for this information - Catania is another new route for this summer

Monday
FR9046 MAN 1145 CTA 1500
FR9047 CTA 1525 MAN 1840

Friday
FR9046 MAN 1700 CTA 2015
FR9047 CTA 2040 MAN 2355

Not sure on that one at present as there seems to be no gaps in the timetable on Monday and Friday to fit those flights in.

To add to the above although there appear to be no gaps in the timetable to accommodate them the flights are showing on the CTA website

How do you know they are fully loaded because they often have a habit of adding and changing
at later dates

No sign of CTA at all !

I did see a post elsewhere suggesting that the proposed schedules between MAN and Palermo / Catania shared the same flight numbers and days of operation. These airports are of course both located in Sicily, so it is possible that Ryanair may be contemplating an airport swap rather than operating services to both destinations.

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?

I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,
