Hi CEO Ray, is there any plans for Birmingham Airways to operate BHX-COV? This is routesonline's unserved regional route of the month for 300 months in a row now, massive potential!

Just when I thought my contempt for the BBC could get no deeper!!! :punch:

I agree Ray, that article is rubbish however as you get further down the article it appears to warm to Brum a little, just a little.

We all know Birmingham will put on a fantatsic games in 2022 and we will come back in late 2022 and will be discussing what a brilliant year it has just been in our city.

Dear big cheese.

Could you knock out a couple of daily flights to Bidford on Avon Gliding Club as it's my nearest airport, we'll aerodrome really, ok it's actually just a field with aircraft some with no engines.

PS the BBC are completely useless to be polite!

This was supposed to be kept under wraps until November but we currently have a team of engineers working on a fleet of Concorde's which will be used on our flagship BHX-CVT route. Passengers travelling for both business and leisure alike will enjoy our premium on board service for the 4.5 minutes that they are air bourne.

We are in discussions with several low cost airlines about the potential of the route. They quite like the sound of being able to charge a premium for engines.

I have given up moaning about the BBC when it comes to the disrespect they have for Birmingham. Pathetic journalism. Sod em. We know the truth.

Totally agree.

What gets me is if they showed the same contempt for an ethnicity, or any other social group considered a 'minority', there would be absolute outrage, yet as it's Birmingham and it's residents we're just supposed to sit back and take it.

Confirmation Birmingham is the only bid for 2022 games.
Great.Should get it then.
God knows how much it will cost but we can afford to stage a second probably third rate games by which i mean the standard of competition not organisation. It will have little or no impact on Birmingham's world reputation.I'm sure we all eagerly followed the last Asian games, Pan American Games and African games and thought twice about the cities they were staged in.
Legacy? The bid was built on the premise that the facilities were already here so apart from a larger athletic stadium
which will attract a crowd 2 or 3 times a year not a lot,not even a stadium one of our football teams could take over.
Glasgow held it in 2014.What fond memories of that that spring to mind and how was the perception of Glasgow changed? To be honest i have none and had completely forgotten they were staged there.
Rant over tin helmet on.

We intend to build a wall! An yow am goo-in tow paye f'rit!

You have really overstepped the mark now, President Finkle.

I Kev Silly Un, self proclaimed leader of the great DPRBC (Democratic Peoples Republic of the Black Country) give you advanced warning of our planned ballistic missile test launch.
Our new missile (the Bostin-1), will be launched from our top secret site atop Cradley Bonk. It's flight path will take it over your wall (which we ay payin' for!), to come down in Edgbaston reservoir.
Further tests and development will take place, culminating in the Bostin-3 being able to reach as far as Solihull.
Kings Heath will be viewed as 'neutral territory', as that's where me girlfriend lives.

Very negative 58, thankgoodness you are not the leader of this great city.

Just for your information the commonwealth does cover a large swathe of the world so it would put Birmingham on the world stage.

I remember Glasgow very well and indeed Manchester and remember looking at the TV and thinking, how great that would be in Birmingham.

And with that kind of attitude, Birmingham might as well give up on any aspiration it has right now. RANT OVER :banghead:

Dear CEO Finkle,
Might I suggest that you email Richard Branson over Virgin Atlantic's A380 order? I think these six aircraft should be used to open a new base at BHX and would be the perfect aircraft to serve JFK, ATL, LAS, MCO, BOS and SFO on a daily basis.
Kind regards

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!
If anyone would like to share their local airport news right here in our news area let me know so I can give you the correct permissions to do so. It only takes a couple of minutes to upload a news story with an accompanying image. The news items can then be shared on the site homepage by you. #TakePart #Forums4airports Bring the news to one place!
survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
