Latest rumour on the dried plum is that a 767 will operate the 3 weekly cruise flights to BGI as well as the flight to DWC. Does anyone know more? If true it will be interesting to see what the 787 does during this time.

C-FEAK has now replaced C-FWGH as the based Sunwing 738. I don't think Thomson will be using Sunwing aircraft next year as there have been some technical issues and heavy delays. For example C-FWGH got stuck in Girona at the end of June.

Already posted this in the Leeds/Bradford Thread.

But worked out today that Thomson Holidays are using a (so far unnamed airline) with an Birmingham based aircraft to operate 2 w-legs into Leeds/Bradford next summer 2017. On Fridays it will do Palma-Majorca whilst on Sundays it will do a Malaga w-leg.

Fridays
BHX 08:15 PMI 11:40 / PMI 12:40 LBA 14:25 / LBA 15:55 PMI 19:35 / PMI 20:35 BHX 22:05
Sundays
BHX 07:40 AGP 11:30 / AGP 12:30 LBA 14:40 / LBA 16:10 AGP 20:15 / AGP 21:15 BHX 23:10

Has anyone any idea to which airline or aircraft type this is going to be? As so far the Thomson Airways booking website currently shows them listed to been operated by TBA (Airline to be Announced)

There is definitely another based aircraft doing morning departures on top of the existing 6, for part of the week at least. I can think of a couple of possibilities but it will be interesting to see who it ends up as.

Thur - AGP
Fri - PMI
Sat - PMI
Sun - AGP

Out of interest the away based aircraft are currently showing as below. I guess the Turkish flights are very much subject to change.

Mon - BJV
Tue - TFS
Tue - AYT
Tue - MLA (Air Malta)
Fri - DLM

Think the must be something wrong but theses Birmingham based aircraft w-legs to LBA on Fri & Sun next summer 2017 are now shown on the Thomson Holidays website as been operated by "Tibet Airlines" The flight only website still shows flights operated by "Airline TBA".

Thomson will not be renewing the Dubai packages next winter from any uk bases due to poor sales.

I'm on one of those flights in a few weeks, will have to see what the load is like. Are they pulling the cruises altogether or just the flights?

Great to see Goa back I traveled on a Thomson 767 (via Bahrain) the last time they operated this route a really interesting place to visit and Phuket too I wasn't expecting BHX-Thailand yet :)
Daza

Both fortnightly Goa and Phuket on sale now Thomson holidays website found two weeks in Thailand for 900 quid food and flights :)

And how long is the reason? Assuming they fly alternate weeks 1 week goa / 1 week Phuket?

Pretty low frequency so isn't going to rock the world in pax terms but good destinations to have?!

Question is, are these flights at the cost of anything???

The bad news...Punta Cana has been made summer only and lays over until March 2018 when it resumes at 1 weekly. Also looks like groundhog day with regard to Orlando SFB which resumes at the same time and stays 1 weekly. GOI and HKT continue up to April 2018 which is as far as the timetable goes.

Travel Weekly reported at the beginning of this month that extra cruise flights would operate to BGI and MBJ in W17/18 from several UK airports including BHX, so hopefully there will end up being more flights than what is currently shown on the timetable.

indeed that the key here. Whilst is great to have new destinations, what is important is that flights actually represent growth!!!

It's a big thumbs up from me :)

Even if the overall capacity is the same it finally shows some adventure from Thomson, if these services do well then it may well lead to greater capacity in the future. Slightly disappointing if PUJ stops for winter although it was rumoured that W17/18 would see two based long haul aircraft so it may be added later.

As it stands W17/18 has 9 weekly long haul flights which is the same as this year.

Mon - Cancun
Tue - Montego Bay
Wed - Montego Bay and La Romana
Thur - Cancun and Goa/Phuket
Fri - Barbados
Sat - Barbados
Sun - Barbados

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
