It's a big thumbs up from me :)

Even if the overall capacity is the same it finally shows some adventure from Thomson, if these services do well then it may well lead to greater capacity in the future. Slightly disappointing if PUJ stops for winter although it was rumoured that W17/18 would see two based long haul aircraft so it may be added later.

As it stands W17/18 has 9 weekly long haul flights which is the same as this year.

Mon - Cancun
Tue - Montego Bay
Wed - Montego Bay and La Romana
Thur - Cancun and Goa/Phuket
Fri - Barbados
Sat - Barbados
Sun - Barbados

I was unaware that La Romana had been brought back. I guess this is a cruise flight?

So what has been lost from this winter? DWC and Orlando?

La Romana is a cruise flight operating every Wednesday in December and January. It replaces DWC which operates this winter.

It's Punta Cana that currently isn't listed. It operates weekly this winter and goes 2x weekly next summer but then stops for winter 17 until March 2018 when it returns again. Orlando is summer only.

Perhaps a work in progress? I had a quick look and I got Phuket starting Wed 8 Nov and Goa starting Thur 9 Nov.

Hope so, I guess it depends on how many days per week they're planning on keeping the second aircraft at BHX.

The website timings for GOI and HKT are:

Goa: Departs Thursdays at 15:25 and returns Fridays at 12:50
Phuket: Departs Wednesdays at 10:40 and returns Thursdays at 13:00

La Romana is now bookable as flight only.

It runs from Nov 22nd until March 7th, departing Wednesday's at 09:45 and returning Thursday at 04:30.

Dose anyone know yet whom's operating the extra Thomson Holidays flights this summer 2017 with a BHX based aircraft, as the Thomson flight only booking site still shows airline "TBC", Surely this situation can't carry on for much longer??

Still no idea.

Looking at the Thomson website we now have three of our four weekly Malaga flights showing TBA, Thur, Fri and Sun.

Palma only has the Sat flight as TBA, that may well be a return of Alba Star.

Being reported elsewhere TOM will resume flying to MLA ex BHX the booking system is showing a Friday flight along with the existing KM Tue flight (In Thom holidays site not flight only). Not yet bookable so I'm guessing an update in progress
Daza

I wonder if Air Malta themselves will end up op this extra flight they did used to op a Friday service....

Alba Star are the most likely for PMI. Last year they did a weekly Palma for Thomson on top of their own 2x weekly service. I'm still not sure who'll do Malaga, unless it ends up with Monarch.

As Thomson and Jet2 have ended their agreement some of the Jet2 flights that Thomson were selling out of BHX have changed. The one I was looking at was Menorca which has now swapped to Monarch.

Good news for Monarch!

The Thursday Malaga is now showing as Monarch with the Friday Malaga showing as Norwegian.

Thomson are also using Norwegian's Monday flight to Tenerife.

There are quite a few flights on Monarch with one or two also showing as Thomas Cook.

Unfortunately for those of us who like variety it seems TOM will not be using a Sunwing aircraft at BHX this year.

Looking further ahead we have PUJ going back up to 2x weekly in the last week of April 2018. When it was dropped for W17/18 and resumed at just 1x weekly I was worried they might end up cutting capacity year-round, so reassuring to see.

I'm looking forward to the release of their summer 2018 schedule but also uncertain what it will bring. On the one hand we have had signs of ambition with the addition of GOI and HKT but so far it seems they're not willing to go the extra mile and have two 787s here all week.

Wasn't their a few issues with the Sunwing aircraft last summer? If so it's probably a good thing having all TOM based.

Good news about PUJ :)

Looking at the flights section the third Palma on a Saturday is no longer showing, this was the airline TBA. That makes all Palma flights showing TOM codes.

Looking at the holidays section Malaga has Monarch on Sun and Thur, Wed shows Thomson at the start of August and Monarch at the end of August. Fri is Norwegian.

Tenerife has TOM on Thur, Fri and Sun, Monarch on a Wed, Norwegian on a Mon and Vueling on a Tue.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
