Three to Gatwick - or are we talking specifically two-class configs?
Look, there are 3 routes that go to Gatwick. 2 of them are operated by 2 class Airbus A380s. One route is operated by the 3 class A380 which is the one that has first class. Same situation for Manchester

In July Emirates announced on their website the third daily Gatwick flight was a 777. In December they announced it being upgraded to 380.

Regardless of glitches or mistakes on their booking system, wait for them to announce it officially. Until then pinches of salt need to be regularly taken.

Hi there all, can anyone answer this question, why are you not able to book an Emirates flight to dubai within 2 weeks from Birmingham Airport to fly, which could be next year in say late year, whereas if you booked a flight from Heathrow, you can go quicker, seems unfair, and pointless at all, I thought that was what airlines were for quickest avaliable and not future bookings only...AndyC

I don't understand your question sorry. I've just tried to book a flight January 4th with no issues. I've also just tried to book one 13th July and again one late in October 2023 - again with no issues.

BHX is no different from LHR or any over departure point ????

You can book BHX-DXB for all 2023

Not sure what you are saying ?

I think he is saying you can’t book a flight when the departure date is within 2 weeks when looking at bhx? I am not sure why that would be the case, but then I can see flights for sale next week so maybe I have misunderstoo?

I am not suggesting this is the answer here as I too am a little unsure what the question is, but all airlines keep a proportion of seats for specific O&D markets. In simple terms let's base on a 400 seat a/c and as an example:
300 seats available just to DXB
50 seats available to DEL via DXB
30 seats available to SYD via DXB
20 seats available to JNB via DXB
So in effect it means there may be seats actually on the BHX-DXB leg but can only be booked if connecting onwards.
Not sure that all helps or not but might just be part of the answer

As a retired corporate travel consultant I do believe that you may have come up with a possible answer. Numbers are obviously hypothetical but it's a good way to look at the question.

Well that's exactly my profession hence the comments. And yes it was a simple explanation intended for all to understand - and that is not deliberately insulting anyone intelligence. We all have specific areas of knowledge that is good to share and it's so easy to use jargon only we understand

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
