Many thanks for the list Severn

My luck that half the scheduled movements I posted at an earlier stage are no longer operating or have a change of day ! A310 would have been a nice one for the spotters but judging from the list of flights coming in and the aicraft type, there's plenty of different movements that will be great for the airport itself and also the spotter, The website below seems to give the list of types due in , An Iberia A340, Alitalia A330 amongst them.

Good to see also that BRS has some nice traffic coming in and along with the business flights in both CWL and BRS wherever the spotters head there should be some good photo opportunities avaliable, Let's hope the weather stays dry, and everything goes to plan, It should be a great weekend for the airport and the city itself

I'm wondering if the A340 will bring in the Real Madrid team as Iberia's have 46 business class seats so I'm guessing that should be more than enough for Reals players and staff.

Try this site as it has a map of spotting sites around the airport. There are also some road closures around the airport which are on the site and there is also some links to some useful sites as well.
The holiday inn roundabout tends to be where people get moved on the most.

Titan Airways ZT6942 due to land from Belgrade with the Welsh football team at 02.35.

This is off topic so far as CWL is concerned, but I read yesterday that Leicester City chartered an aircraft for a 14-minute flight to play Manchester United: EMA-MAN presumably.

If it's true, and I have no reason to doubt it, that is nonsensical in my eyes and shows yet again the obscene amount of money washing around top level football. Reason seems to have gone out of the window.

I agree with you TLY. It would have taken them longer to drive to EMA, fly to MAN, drive to Old Trafford than it would to have driven direct.

Or it could be like the other week when Southampton FC flew to MAN, but was then met at Manchester airport by their personal team bus to take them into the city, a bus which drove up that day also!

When i landed yesterday i saw there was a Czech Airlines ATR72 parked on stand 14 which departed today. I believe it brought in a Czech Ice Hockey team to play Cardiff Devils. According to SWAG it arrived on Wednesday at 12.40 from Prague and departed today for Vxajo Smaland in Sweden at 10.16.
Another possible Ice Hockey related flight is a People's Viennaline E170 from Vaxjo Smaland which arrived at 13.40 and departed from stand 11 for Alterhein in Switzerland at 14.48.
Austrian Airlines A320 arrived at 12.15 from Vienna with the Austrian football team who play Wales on Saturday night. The aircraft departed back to Vienna from stand 9 at 13.48.
Info from South Wales Aviation Group.

I've been looking online to see if i can find the Strachan Sports flight charter to Georgia for the Wales football match tomorrow and it looks like it didn't happen which is a shame. I know the team departed yesterday on a Titan A320 and i'd imagine that many fans are making their own way may well have used KLM and been caught up in today's cancellations so let's hope they get there for the game.

I hope it's a better game than the boring England-Slovenia this evening. Who was listed to operate the supporters' flight?

I don't know who was down to operate it. I can't find any evidence of the flight which leads me to think the take up wasn't great.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
