QR flight restart date from CWL has been pushed back further to Friday 5th June.

I’m hoping that this gets extended further as I have flights booked with them for Euro 2020 on the 11th June. They have offered me a voucher for an additional 10% so a really good offer, but given some personal circumstances at the minute I would just like my money back. Cancellation at the moment would cost me 195USD per ticket !

Just been notified that CWL-DOH has been taken off sale indefinitely ... What that means i’m not quite sure. Good news with my refund, perhaps not so good news for the airport. Let’s hope the flights resume at some point !

Just seen a tweet that Qatar Airways are going to make a lot of redundancies. I suppose we can just only hope it comes back.

Just checked there website and it looks like Summer 2020 has been taken offsale. The route hasn't been dropped as it's still onsale for winter 2020/21. It resumes Monday 26th October 2020.

Through a bit more investigation of the search engine it appears as though the flights are back on-sale from the 26th October at present.

Looks like CWL isn't alone and BHX is off sale as well.

Just as a bit of an update in my particular case. I was emailed today saying that my flights have now been cancelled. I’ve now begun the seemingly long-winded process of getting my refund (I do however understand that there are probably hundreds of thousands of bookings in their systems that need dealing with in this way).

Announced 9000 redundancies today :((
The airline's CEO said they hoped to 'rehire staff quickly once global aviation emerges from the lockdown'.

Must be devastating, i don’t know the specifics of the redundancies but I know From travelling through many workers at Doha Airport are Migrants from abroad, with many seeming to be Chinese or Indian. I can’t see the law for redundancies in Qatar being too fantastic either compared to the UK.

Wait until this government has finished reviewing its employment law post Brexit, we will end up with employment rights like those in Qatar.

Highly unlikely they will be voted out in 2025 as under the fixed parliament act the next election is in 2024 so if they get back in which given the present majority and the fact that long overdue boundary changes will happen they will be in power for the next 9/10 years.

Sorry for appearing trivial but i actually think they’ll try and revert to May 2025, i don’t think they want another December election again.

It’s early days for Kier Starmer but i do think he’s a worthy opponent to Boris Johnson.

Actually I thought it was me being trivial so no problem at all as I understand it the legislation sets the date for May 2024 but there's a lot of water to go under the bridge before then. I certainly agree Kier Starmer looks like giving Boris a run for his money, back to aeroplanes!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
