I have heard that this new airline to Birmingham, would be operating daily flights to New York Newark from May 2018, and 4 weekly to Boston and 3 weekly to Toronto from June 2018 with A321neo equipment.

The A321neo with sharklets has a range of 6,850km, BHX-EWR is 5,444km, BHX-BOS 5,123km, BHX-YYZ 5,582km approx!

so if this is true, which possible airline has A321neo's on order ready for May 2018, that doesn't already fly from Birmingham? ;)

Jet Blue has 60 A321neos on order and has a hub in Boston...?

That thought crossed my mind the other day - didn't somebody mention that people might question the reputation of the potential airline? Don't mean to be rude to Pegasus, but wouldn't put it past some people to not consider Pegasus in a good light.

Hang on a minute, Thinking about it Air Transat just last week announced its leasing 10+ Airbus A321-NEO's from AerCap on 12 year deals. Don't they currently operate trans Atlantic long haul from BHX?

Though they currently already fly BHX to YYZ, so can't be them.

And a hub at JFK. Though do they have rights to fly UK to Canada?

Yes but it's been said that the airline doesn't currently operate transatlantic longhaul

Yeah but not being an EU airline they can't operate BHX-US and they've ordered the Long range version which doesn't start being delivered until 2019.

Pegasus are a Turkish Airline so i'm not sure they'd have the rights?

This airline has never flown T/A before does not fly currently into MAN, does not currently have the
requisite aircraft and will be an amazing suprise to many. It is however european not British and we must
wish them the very best of luck, We need this to work

We love the Europeans, it is after all the continent that Britain belongs too :)

Wizzair fits a lot of those. Only thing is, would it be a surprise to many if they did venture into TATL?

Though has it been said the airline doesn't currently fly from BHX?

So could be quite a coup for BHX ? And raise eyebrows ?

This really is funny, im gonna be sad when its all over.
We need a new rumour once Aurigny Trislander is announced via Alderney and Exeter. I reckon we have a post every 5 minutes.

All a ploy from Uncle Ray et al to get our forum post numbers above LBA.

I reckon whoever it is to BOS, Newark and Toronto. New ground and part of a wider announcement on TATL and intercontinental flights a generally. Not a fan of the airline but it will work.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
