Just to get a couple of new European Routes would be good.

Finnairrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr are you listening. ;)

2018 will be a quieter year than 2017 at the moment only three new airlines (one has been announced, one will return and one a new one) in the pipeline, the airport need to consolidate what we have get the infrastructure right (2017 was not good from a customer experience). Then move ahead and build up new routes in 2019/2020.
TAP have shown no interest in BHX at all, Finnair will still probably be over 12 months away !

Firnas Air it is then on there one and only Jetstream, Twice daily to London Southend :giggle:

Well hopefully this lot of 'new' routes won't end in disappointment, BHX has had its fair share of bad news recently so hopefully, these new developments will be made to be sustainable and profitable for both BHX and the airline whilst still benefiting the region

Well I think we’ve all had our say on Primera and VLM have already delayed there start date so all our hopes now rest upon.....Uzbekistan Airlines? What a difference 18 months make!

I fly on TAP frequently from Manchester over a number of years now, they are an airline that is getting busier and busier and adding new routes. It would be nice to see them off BHX too.

As I think Ray alluded to earlier, having a slow or flat 2018 (compared to 2017) may in fact be good for the airport. It'll allow them to put infrastructure in place to make the airport able to handle 13mppa+ - lets face it whilst BHX can handle 13mppa, it can't really do it whilst keeping the customer experience as good as it should be.

With these 3 returning/new airlines, are you counting Uzbekistan as one or has that development faded away?

As Ian pointed out, 2018 needs to be more a year of consolidation. Just having had a look through the frequencies of existing flights, increasing frequencies of 15 destinations (mostly capital or large cities) across Europe could add over 700,000 seats - equivalent to basing an extra 3/4 aircraft.

Your hear correct, Thomas Cook resume flights to Enfidha tomorrow!

A totally full flight about to depart very soon with TUi also returning to Tunisia in May.

BBC Breakfast and Good Morning Britain are at BHX throughout the morning. I think the BBC made it through a whole report without any snide comments so maybe progress if finally being made :)

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
