So This month is likely the month we hear rumours and new routes to be announced.What can we expect?

In answer to your regular question ant I reckon any airline will make an appropriate announcement when they are good and ready patience being a virtue and all that

Meanwhile I'm sure any member who has actual inside info for all of us they can share will post what they can,when they can.

Hello it’s me again the aka Norse.

International predictions

Turkish airlines announced man,Edi,Lgw are increasing it’s frequency to Istanbul.Im surprised we haven’t done the same to put it to 3 daily.

Pegasus wonder how it would do at 5 weekly. I reckon daily by May at the latest especially demand for both carriers .I wonder if Pegasus are considering dalaman to Birmingham?

Sun express I am surprised it hasn’t announced Bodrum with tui not operating the route next summer with just 1 carrier left.

Corendon im hoping they expand from Birmingham like Heraklion maybe Bodrum they could join in the summer expansion.

Saudia with them going 4 weekly last august I hope to reconsider their plans to increase to 4 weekly for next summer see how demand does.

Air India .I don’t know if Amritsar will go 4 weekly year round .According to someone on X it is hopefully going year round so fingers crossed.

Emirates I don’t know if the A350 will operate the evening flight.Last time I heard someone on here mentioned their is minor rumours it could happen but wouldn’t be that bothered tbh .Would rather take the B77L or keeping the B77W

Qatar I hope they increase from bhx or change aircraft for next summer.

I know Etihad are announcing a massive expansion this month but i wouldn’t have my hopes up for Birmingham.Probably Gatwick or Edinburgh will get that.

There was talks about a Chinese airline operating out of Birmingham but it’s gone quiet since then.Seen that post multiple times which was posted around 6-8 months ago.

That’s me done.Thoughts anyone?

Just a quick question but I didn’t know where to ask it. Now that Vistara has merged with AI, would that mean that we could get a Vistara 787 at BHX sometime?

Unfortunately the Vistara brand is being phased out, and apparently it’s not a popular move for Indian travellers because Air India have a worse reputation.

But hopefully air India’s customer service will improve as a result of the Vistara staff coming on board.

I’ll wait to see what seat configuration they’ll use before I get excited.

JetBlue went for the premium heavy configuration with nearly 50 premium/business and just 90 economy seats. The airports they went to were the usual suspects: London, Dublin, Edinburgh. I think we would need a much higher ratio of economy seats to make it work.

Hi there all, if Etihad Airlines do announce Birmingham Airport for new routes, then that will be brilliant news of another big airline from the middle east that wants to start up flights from Birmingham airport. We just need to await for what destinations they will use.

Never say never but personally, i feel the chances of Etihad starting up at BHC to be close to 0%

Etihad at BHX - I agree 0% of this happening but if you told me two years ago Saudi would be at BHX a filling a 78X then I would'nt have believed it !

I'm sure if they were then @IanFarquharson would have been dropping hints by now

Here’s the reasons why I think Etihad.

1. It was Pegasus 4th most popular connector to and from Birmingham.Followed by Doha and Bodrum.
2. Saudia was a shock to all of us and we wasn’t expecting it and have done reasonably well.
3. Etihads chief executive who was at Routes Bahrain in October I think it was .He mentioned their would be some Bold routes which for Saudia to Birmingham it was a bold route.
4. This might not be relevant but however.If Etihad are increasing in Britain.2 daily Manchester next year,More A380 to London .Their must be more demand surely.

But yeah it’s unlikely they’d come but i think they will do a Saudia
