Can anyone share when at least this rumour is likely to be announced?

This is almost worse than waiting to open presents on Xmas day as a kid!

There was a 'Virgin' living in the Nile 'Delta' who heard a rumour of an airline starting a new route to 'Singapore' or 'Hong Kong'. She and her boyfriend were 'United' in believing it was true, but then decided it was not a good idea to listen to 'Chinese' whispers. Am i getting close?

Pure speculation on my part but, for what it's worth, I personally don't think you are getting close. My money is on something based a little closer to home.

Hi there flymetothemoon, how are you, the airline you cryptically going on about, would it be Virgin or Delta at all....AndyC.
I am not sure if flymetothemoon or anyone else has been talking about an airline cryptically or not.
The fact it is on the general thread means it could be anything. That is what has been intriguing (annoying )about it.
Maybe a moderator in the know could move the discussion to a more appropriate thread? That would not
be disclosing confidences.
If it stays here we know it is not directly airline or aircraft related.
Admittedly some of us will then lose interest.

It must be a new Loganair base with saab 340's!! :ROFLMAO:

seriously can't see it being an American carrier, I guess a Chinese, Canadian, Hong Kong or Singapore carrier is an outside bet, but if I was a betting man, my money would be on Easyjet or BA Cityflyer!

fingers crossed that who ever the airline is, it actually happens and we hear soon!! :nailbiting::nailbiting:

Hi there ray and all, you'll never know, also as its Mr Paul Kehoes last official day as boss before he leaves, it could be that hes going to leave, there might be some last special announcements to send him on his way, we'll have to wait and see what Birmingham Airport Management have got planned and arranged......AndyC.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!
If anyone would like to share their local airport news right here in our news area let me know so I can give you the correct permissions to do so. It only takes a couple of minutes to upload a news story with an accompanying image. survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
