For some reason im thinking Wizzair for TATL operations at BHX.

Is that a mad thought or what, then again what about Vueling ?

The next rumoured airline (after this one) does fly from LHR but not MAN, infact the country invloved is not served from MAN. However, this may not be announced for a while !
For a while could mean 12 months 18 months or never in the airline business. I don't think i could take months of chasing our tails about who and where. The current N.American debate only started 10 days ago and am i the only one who has given up and just decided to wait for the announcement? Can you imagine 12 more months of the same?

..surely what we've been told already is enough?! 3x North American routes, 2 of which will be to the USA! (If all goes to plan... which nothing is definite these days)
If all goes to plan?Good grief. We have been told people know the airline the routes the times even the flight numbers
and that announcement will be made in 2 weeks. Is the airline likely to go bust in the next 2 weeks?
If there is not an announcement i look forward to the reaction on here. Admittedly an announcemnt and a plane on the ground are 2 different things.

Now now 58terminus, our friends on the forum have told us as much as they are permitted to do so. Im afraid you will just have to grin and bear it like myself. Nothing is confirmed until it is confirmed. The airline and the airport will decide when to announce, not Forums4airports.

Re: TATL routes

Im going for New York (But dunno which one) Boston and Toronto

Agree with the exception of Boston. It's a relatively new route even to Manchester, and whilst doing well, its not doing amazingly. I'd personally bet on Chicago or Orlando over Boston - we'll just have to wait and see!

Anyone remember the paper airline that was going to be based at BHX flying to various destinations in Florida. It was called Blue something or other.A310 aircraft were going to be used, but after a couple of promising press releases over a 2year period nothing ever came of it.

As for the Far East airline,India has to be the country in question, possibly Bangladesh as an outside bet.
There are at least 2 Indian airlines looking at expansion into long haul flights as well as AI which I mentioned in my previous post.

I have given up on the mystery airline to North America.I welcome all newcomers to the BHX party, but I just hope that they have done their homework and they advertise the services widely and in your face,a la Jet2.
They should also be cheeky and advertise outside of the Midlands and start poaching other airports passengers. It is the way forward.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
