After reading the excitement on the BHX threads over the past few days who knows.... Nick Barton knows them both well

easyJet expanding it’s presence at BHX, who would have thought it?

Good to see though, some competition and choice again on the main Scottish routes. Not had that since BMI baby disappeared.Aberdeen or maybe Inverness next???

As for CDG or AMS, I think it could be possible, but I would rather see other European cities added, particularly those either unserved or those with low frequencies.
Will be interesting to see what happens with Geneva and Grenoble, especially if(this is a big If!!!) a base is opened at BHX.The constant up and down with the GVA frequency and the constant opening and closing of the Grenoble route has been frustrating.Jet2 may have played a part there though.

Great to see some news on the positive front from BHX after what seems to have been a long period of nothing.

Grenoble stopped a couple of years ago !

I've no problem with Easyjet picking up unserved routes but I don't think they are interested in that otherwise they would have started with those destinations from the beginning. They are a business and they will pick the most profitable routes, which are ones already served.

I don't think any of us that want EZY to base at BHX expect them to just launch flights to those destinations currently unserved, more that the only way they'll ever be served is if EZY do open a base here.

And would having more flights on the popular routes do any long term harm? Besides EDI, GLA, AMS & CDG, I can't see EZY serving any destinations that Flybe serve, so if we were to lose Flybe it would more likely be from a new direction from Virgin than EZY starting. Can't see TUI, JET2 or Ryanair going anywhere. Equally if we lose TCX it'll more likely be because of the current situation there than from EZY.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
