BHX along with many UK airports always attaend the various Routes events, these are networking events for airports to build relationships with airlines and airports.
It has been a bad week for BHX this week with Lufthansa and now Wizz so lets hope for some more postive news soon.

I’ve heard rumours about PIA and Jet2 announcing new routes plus easyJet Agadir and Ryanair winter 2026

Agreed, I have seen nothing about Pakistan returning in the near future

And with Pakistan being one of the most heavily impacted countries with the current fuel crisis, i cant imagine any airline there making any decisions in the near future.

Does any think We agree bhx have done better beyond better with route development this summer and do you think it will be beyond better next winter or summer then this summer

I haven't even got a metric for" better beyond better" but anyway as said it's obvious the reality of the current worldwide political climate and looming fuel shortages we are looking at hanging on to what we have and getting suspended routes back rather than dreaming of ever expanding route networks for the forseable and airlines are already cutting/reducing routes.

We are far more likely to see further cuts and changes to existing programmes than any meaningful expansion

One spokesperson for PIA during an event for LHR’s resumption of services mentioned Birmingham for 2027. Take it with a grain of salt (or maybe a bit more) as they seem to be getting more aircraft back in service…

AP-BGZ was damaged and was brought back quite recently, and still waiting for BMG and BGJ to come back. If they managed to bring BGZ back I wouldn’t be surprised if they bring those two other 772 regs back, but AP-BGZ had a structural issue due to unauthorised jacks being used, and BGJ to my knowledge just needs a new landing gear shipset…

Not much to bring however it’s been a light upon us at bhx

EasyJet have announced a new route to Agadir starts 27th October

Jet2 have made a few changes to it’s schedule for S27
Majorca is back to 20 weekly
Budapest is Finally on sale 2 weekly
Malta,Kefalonia both decreased by 1 weekly flight.

Ryanair are closing its Berlin base this winter due to aviation costs. We do not know yet if bhx has been affected by this situation

I know it’s early days before a new season comes up but what are the aims of Winter 2026 for BHX

So far we’ve got
Copenhagen,Sharm el sheikh,Hurghada with jet2

Agadir with easyJet with Inverness ,Nice going year round

Ryanair Tirana,Warsaw going year round

I’m just thinking wide out of the box.I know someone mentioned on here that the airports or Ryanair’s aim in Europe was Eastern airports so for example Poland,Romania,Hungary

Easyjet was I think sun beach leisure city breaks Ski breaks so for example Sal,Porto,Funchal,Copenhagen,Budapest,Vienna

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?

I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,
