S19 is starting to be uploaded.

It's mostly as you were except Las Palmas loses one weekly flight as does Girona. The extra Krakow remains.

Madrid is still showing Mon, Wed, Fri and Sun (at the moment) so with Iberia now showing Tue, Thur, Fri and Sun it's a little more spread out.

Vilnius not bookable but it's on an away based aircraft so will hopefully follow soon.

I'd expect plenty of changes over the coming months.

OltonPete has reported some S19 schedule updates. No surprises given what Jet2 have been doing.

Alicante 11 per week (was previously only bookable at 10pw)
Malaga 11pw (was 9pw)
Palma 9pw (was 7pw)

Normally i wouldnt be too over the top pleased with more sun routes capacity but BHX is actually crying out for more capacity to these x 3 popular sun destinations so this news if confirmed gets my full support.

However and there is always a however when it comes to Ryanair/BHX, please please give us some brand new routes. It cant be that hard, surely ?????? :wideyed:

Please make those new routes any of the numerous unserved markets and not just duplicates aimed purely at competing with other airlines!

I did notice that Ryanair is to open x 2 new bases from Bordeaux and Marseille. Either or both would be nice additions to the BHX network especially since we have no connections to the south of France with Nice no longer available.

However this is BHX, surely we are not affluent enough to have flights to the south of France. Based on previous history people in the Birmingham area only go on holiday in Spain/Portugal and Greece.

:(

Looking at the Ryanair website only two routes from Vilnius are now not bookable after March, Kiev and....you guessed it...BHX.

Another route dropped and yet another destination added to the already lengthy 'unserved' list?

I guess there is still time.

At least we have even more bucket and spade capacity in S19 as Faro is going from daily to 9x weekly.

well Vilnius - Kiev has not even started yet (first flight 28th Oct?) so would be shocked if that's dropped before its even started.... so maybe time left for BHX to be put on sale...

the BHX summer schedule not yet announced and many routes on the schedule but not bookable so still time yet...

Growth on KRK and FAO is still welcome, though hopefully not at the cost of existing routes/capacity....

Yes. Palma increase? For f....sake this is the country's second city! Cannot make this up can You.

And it all started when PK departed. Either he set it up to fail or incompetence in the extreme has taken hold. The latter. Sack the board, now. CAA intervene and put the place into special measures if they can. Good job there are no flights to Canada otherwise the minority shareholder will be over here in despair. Sack the board!

Rant over. STB hats will be available soon.

I too at the time thought PK was the person who was going to do great things for BHX. But there is the unanswered question of why his sudden departure. I'm not sure if PK and incompetence can be separated.plus ego. Maybe the minority shareholder did make a flying visit 2 years ago..
Coincidently probably the last airline PK signed up,.BA..just before he left has done its 2 year stretch and moved on.Like many others.
A very expensive and hardly used runway extension seems to be his legacy.
How much is the cost of that hindering the airport i wonder?

There is nothing about this incident but sadness, that this unfortunate woman had to undergo such foul and degrading language on this flight from Barcelona is horrifying.

However, i am relieved to read that while this man now lives in Birmingham he did actually move to the city from Barking in East London.

He is NOT a Brummie! I live in the hope that we who were born in Birmingham are tolerant and christian in our attitude to whoever lives in our great multi-cultural city.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
