Is it twinned with Coventry ? Maybe there is a market after all for all the culture vulture Coventrians, he he he

Dortmund ?? How about Berlin Eurowings, nothing against Dortmund but its not at the top of my "To do" list, ha 🤐

I don't think you were the only person to raise an eyebrow to that one.

Possibly a dummy request to hide the real route? Berlin or Hamburg?

W22/23 slot report available to view.

Easyjet Europe 73.8% increase, possibly Lisbon and Orly?

There are also requests to Billund and Santander, Ryanair?
The report shows Lisbon, Orly, and Milan Malpensa have been requested by easyJet, with BFS, GLA, EDI, AMS + GVA continuing through the winter. Quite the route portfolio developing!

for anyone who hasn't seen the "provisional" Summer 2023 slot allocation, see below.

S23 SAL ATMs , & S23 SAl Seats, are the current flight slots requested by the airlines.

I have added a few extra columns, showing the average seats per flight per airline, number of departures & arrivals, average number of flights per week, and average number of flights per day for each airline. (if all the flights/airlines did operate every week)

IT’s mentioned emirates 28 flights per week so would reinstate that there will be 4x daily flights per day

2 inbound and 2 outbound? Although that doesn't make sense compared to Balkan Holiday's 1 flight per week.

Kevin

Yes 2 inbound and 2 outbound, airlines will need at least 2 slots to operate a flight, 1 inbound, 1 outbound. The summer slots cover 31 weeks, Balkan will only be operating for 14 weeks, so that requires 28 slots, my estimate flights per week work over an airline operating all 31 weeks, so in Balkan's case because they are only operating for 14 weeks, not 31 weeks, the estimate flights a day won't be correct, hence the word "estimate"

Also do you know how you find out the aircraft of every new route?

Qatar's seats per flight works out at 327 a flight, if you check out their fleet, they only have 1 aircraft with 327 seats, an Airbus A350-1000

Wow :wideyed:, if Qatar operate that schedule then they are really going for it. Although, I can't see it phasing Emirates. They'll just up their game. Also, interesting that the A350-1000's are fitted with the Qsuites.

By the way Matt995, I hope you don't mind that I kept a copy of your slot application table. I just copied the data and found that it pasted very neatly into Excel. For personal use only. I wont post it elsewhere.

No problems Kevin, feel free to update the flight per day/week!! 😉

By those stats, are we saying there could potentially be two Qatar flights and day and two Emirates flights a day?

All the aircraft data with all the airline data aswell including its destinations.(Doesn’t mention time.)open the aircraft size analysis and then hold one the colours of your choice which shows you aircraft data. Then pick show data point as a table

I’ll show you a clip I pre recorded

If any problems please don’t hesitate to comment.I’m just trying to put some positive energy out there

I was unaware that Qatar had reinstated A350 to service given their ongoing dispute with Airbus, surprised actually!
Not all of Qatar's A350's are suffering from the surface degradation problems (possibly age related?). Qatar Airways are going to need every aircraft that they have available to fulfil their schedule. This leads me to question the twice daily service from BHX (apparently, they have also applied for similar slot numbers from EDI).

They are in process of getting some ex Virgin Australia 777s A7-BOF being the first which spends all
its time flying to Manchester and has only missed one day since 23rd December and there was me wondering if it might
come to the UK as it seems that fleet use is quite unpredictable to say the least. 2 daily ex EDI is quite an increase with
A350 as the locals predict is quite an increase from a daily 787-8.

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?
LBA: B737-300 G-GDFK empty down to Paris at 16:15 to operate the return LS268 back to Leeds 20:00 ETA where it will then operate the delayed LS265 to Malaga 20:40ETD
LBA: Albastar B737-800 EC-MUB positioning in tommorow afternoon from Gatwick 15:45 to operate a charter to Lourdes/Tarbes on Friday afternoon 14:00 AP7721 STC
I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,
