The plan for EDI is 10 weekly. Showing as B788 currently which would not represent a huge increase over S22 which was mainly A350.

I don't think either BHX or EDI new slots have been firmed up yet, but not withdrawn either.
We should see very soon if they aim for an early summer start..or a thumbs down..

It would be quite nice if Qatar returned on the day they started flying to bhx. Was it the 10th April? But surely they would’ve announced it by now if that was the case. The x2 daily a350 doesn’t seem realistic as they’ve been gone for 3 years and it wouldn’t make sense to start with a frequency that high. The more realistic option is to start this summer at x1 daily on a 787/a350 then gradually increase to to x2 daily by 2025.

They currently have 23 A350s indefinitely grounded and 19 they did have ordered, cancelled by Airbus over a paint dispute.
So I'm scratching my head as to where they would get planes from for BHX flts, without dropping current routes ?

Their probably going to go with a usual 787-8 and sometimes a 787-9

They have slots, meaning that it's not guaranteed they might just get rid of these slots and give Manchester a boost of frequency

Even if we don't see QR there is plenty of potential for growth from elsewhere, including the airlines that we already have. We shall see what happens in the coming weeks/months

Qatar still might happen, the rumour was an announcement was due but a another week gone and nothing yet !

Summer 2023 Permitted Slot Returns as per the UK slot Regulation

Below tables detail the total number of slots which carriers are entitled for dispensation as per their slot holdings at the time of the handback deadline for the Summer 2023 (S23) season.

Please note that dispensations will only be given to carriers for cancellations of their historic slots which are made between 01 February 2023 and 14 February 2023.

Sorry can you explain what a dispensation allowance actually is ?

We know Blue Air have gone bust and PLAY have withdrawn theirs.
Qatar at 240 with double daily equates to only 10-12 weeks worth if these are both inbound and outbound.Which would point to a late summer start if at all.
How many others have handed slots back ?

Read the text box at the top of the website. Also try and buy a ticket.....you can't. Their flights have been postponed for a long while now and all new Max deliveries have gone to other airlines. They're a gonna!
