I suspect that compilers of such lists have to pay fees to obtain information, covering legals, embargoed and copyrights etc., and need to recover their costs by charging end user.

I may of course be incorrect, it is however my interpretation that nothing is free in this world.

ACL for winter 2023 has been announced.

Tbh from my perspective is that it’s just EasyJet and fly play are asking for slots.

Ryanair are wanting Seville and Valencia .

Really disappointing.

Aircraft availability to service routes comes to my mind, Boeing and Airbus have delivery issues related to supply chain problems. Ryanair seems fully deployed amongst it's European bases so only two requests for a slot does not surprise.

AI could launch BOM without requesting the slots though right? Airlines are always launching routes which don’t feature in the slot reports… There are more informed folk on her but I reckon we’ll still see AI launch new routes from BHX this winter

Only slots but highlights

Emirates – 2 X daily A388

Qatar – 2 x daily

Ryanair – New routes to Seville & Valencia

Fly Play – 1 x daily KEF

Turkish – 2 x daily

Saudia – 4 per week

Air India – 1 x daily but no Bombay which may well start at Manchester ahead of us.

Wizz – 27 per week but saying they are cancelling Craovia, a route they have just added an extra weekly rotation for in the Winter.

It looks like Vueling had plans for Lisbon but now canx

Ryanair requested and got approved 10,694 slots which is way larger than any other airline with Easyjet second at 4,454 followed by Jet2 at 3,819 and Tui at 2,475

So overall quite promising.

Ian

How do you add this up?I think someone last year for summer announced how they found the amount of seats for each aircraft

Good to see PLAY reapplying still showing some interest in us.Give us a potential good transit link to the States.

Qatar makes sense re daily connections to AUS and NZ.

Actually Ian, Emirates is still showing 1 A388 & 1 B77W daily, a total of 321,244 seats, divided by 616 flights, gives a seat average of 521.5 per flight

A388 2 class, 615 seats, B77W 2 class 428 seats, 615 + 428 = 1,043 / 2 flights = 521.5

Most definitely.

These are just the start of season slot requests so really not much more than a guideline.

I suppose when you look at Southwind of Turkey applied for slots into BHX and other UK airports .Yet in the end didn't even start. apart from a one off ad hoc flt the other night for a UK airline.

So slot requests don't mean that much.

impossible to tell with some airlines what aircraft will be operated, you have missed Air France A220's, Brussels the CR9, Lufthansa, CR9s, CRXs, Loganair AT72

Qatar's 2 daily slots are indicating both flights on a B789, realistically we will only get a daily B788 flight, which is still good news, considering they haven't started yet & I don't expect Play to use their winter slots either.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
