Hi,

I'm wondering if anyone can help me. I'm making a FIDS based on BRS and I've got to the stage where I add departure gates, check-in desks and baggage belts to my system.

However, I have no idea what they are! I believe there are 50 check-in desks which I've added but I don't know what airlines are where (I think easyJet are still Bag Drop 3-12?) but other than that I have no idea.

Same with gates - I've got 1-6, 8-16, 25-34 but I don't know if that's right.

And baggage belts - no clue what they have.

If anyone knows that sort of information that would be really helpful, thanks.

(If anyone would like to see what I have so far just drop me a message)

Thanks

Welcome to F4A.

Can anyone provide all or some of the information requested?

Although I've been using the airport for many decades I have to admit that I don't consciously take in the specifcs when it comes to such things as the total number of check-in desks, gates and baggage carousels. I just concentrate on the one I need to use on the day.

I know that easyJet continues to use a batch of check-in desks via a 'snake' at the western end of the terminal building, although what the check-in desk numbers are I have no idea. When we used TUI last month we checked in east of easyJet's territory but still in the original 'new' terminal, as opposed to the check-in extension hall further east that Ryanair and Thomas Cook amongst others use, or used in the case of Thomas Cook. Again, these check-in desk numbers are not in my memory.

I tried to get some clues via the airport website departure page which used to display the check-in desk numbers for the individual flights but it doesn't seem to at the moment.

So can anyone help out? Many thanks if you can.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
