The Evening Mail as it was used to be a great paper and was often set as part of homework at school as it was a trusted source of information. I no longer read or purchase newspapers but do read specialist journals linked to the Law or Aviation.
The Birmingham Mail is one of well over 200 regional titles owned by Reach Plc, formerly Trinity Mirror.

Children's comics have more gravitas.

Turkish B789 still showing due at 0910, looks like it will be either TC-LLE or TC-LLI, as these 2 aircraft are currently night stopping at IST.

TC- LLF is also at IST, but has not moved since 15th, so is a possibility for the BHX flight, along with TC-LLA, TC-LLC which arrive in IST about 2 hours before the BHX flight departs

Turkish B789 TC-LLA is currently filed for the BHX flight.

I've read on another forum that they are to operate the B789 every Monday into December.

Can anyone confirm if that's correct.
I am glad Turkish airlines are doing well at Birmingham during these times, ill keep my eyes peeled for the dreamliner if it goes over my house.

I dunno, I prefer A330 as an upgraded aircraft leading to a B777 if sales are good at Turkish. They are becoming a valuable carrier at BHX and deserve all the support they can get whilst others dither and sow seeds of doubt.

Emirates beware!

EC-IXL metro arrived this morning from Munich & according to fr24 left BHX around 1.5 hours ago and has been flying around the local area at fairly low level making pretty patterns on radar map, I assume on a test flight.

Or, possibly flying at low level to burn off fuel to get below max landing weight for a return to the airfield. Although FR24 states that it went to EMA.

I saw this aircraft pass over home as i left the house at approximately 1.30pm. It was making a very tight visual turn in to runway 15 and seemed lower than a normal approach.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!
If anyone would like to share their local airport news right here in our news area let me know so I can give you the correct permissions to do so. It only takes a couple of minutes to upload a news story with an accompanying image. The news items can then be shared on the site homepage by you. #TakePart #Forums4airports Bring the news to one place!
survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
