Are there plans to set up a Group For Leeds Bradford Airport, like GALBA but the opposite? I think it would help. There's lots of untapped potential.

Also I run the group on Facebook: Guiseley and Yeadon Issues. Please share on my group, we have 10,000 members.

We already have. The Airport Support Group that set up this petition. It's been around since 1989, a lot longer than GALBA, but unlike them, we are not funded. Other plans we had could not be carried out due to Covid.
Any members in here who are members of Adie's group, please share. Someone on here must live in the Guiseley area?
Alternatively Adie, could you post it on your group yourself?

Some interesting facts for our petition. This is the current status as of midnight Tuesday, December 8th 2020

Sort of sums things up. Such a small percentage are sharing. The trail just keeps going cold if it isn't shared. If this petition doesn't get a reasonable amount of support, we are going to look pretty stupid when we write to the council to demonstrate the huge support.

Hi Aide, I posted to an old thread on the Yeadon Community FB page, is that yours? If it is I'm not sure an old thread will have the same effect. Would you mind me posting it as a new thread? If that's not yours I'll search for it. I'm local to Yeadon and Guiseley anyway.

As you probably know We do have a have social media presence on twitter @Supportlba

Setting up a Facebook page for the LBA Support Group is something we have talked about, but so far we've not actually got around to setting it up.

I guess we could relook into doing something on there if the is a enough support to warrant it @White Heather & @Aviador

The trouble with a Facebook page for LBA Support Group is wr would be relying on people coming to us rather than us finding them. I'm not convinced it will help us at all tbh.

Excellent

I don’t use Facebook much at all, but there is a group called Leeds Bradford Airport LBA-EGNM. That has 5,800 members by all accounts and I couldn’t see any mention of the petition on there. Could be a good option

On behalf of the LBA Support Group please feel free post a link to the petition and share it on any social media platforms, groups or websites you know off.

All we ask of you is that if required, please seek permission from Group owners, website administrators beforehand.

I have just joined this group. Awaiting approval from the group admin to share the petition.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
