It's gone back because once again they requested additional environmental information, which LBA provided before Christmas. They therefore have to allow another month for people to consider it and comment. No doubt a certain organisation will do. No doubt either that when they make their false claims, LBA will need to provide evidence to refute them, and each time, this causes delay. It's a vicious circle. If they don't follow this protocol, and then approve it, it will open the door for the opposition (whose name I cannot bring myself to say), to challenge on legal grounds, claiming the Council didn't follow the planning process.

Check your email account as I just had one from the Council with regard to this further information and allowing comments until 4 February.

Has anyone else got an email this morning from Leeds City Council saying there has been changes to the planning application and giving you the option to comment on these changes. Looks like a further delay in the pipeline. Not had chance yet to look at the changes on the planning portal.

It seems you have also not had chance to read the posts above?

Mine said-“I am writing to let you know that there has been a change to the application for planning permission that has been made on the above site which is close to your property.” I live in Batley, didn’t realise the new terminal would be so close to us, I’m joining GALBA!!!

I live on the coast (about 75 miles away from LBA) but have received the same notification. Looking at the document that is mentioned, the consultants engaged (from my novice reading of their report) seem positive in terms of the application and the noise that would emerge if the application were granted.

I’ve also had a read of the documents this afternoon and it looks to be an ongoing argument around the interpretation of the night quota.

It reads as though LBA has a different interpretation to LCC, who seem to have changed their mind about the interpretation of it, as it mentions they agreed with LBA’s back in March. If that makes any sense!?

What a mess! LCC moving the goalposts by the looks of it.

WOW we’ve hit 1,500 Signatures!

Jonathan Springthorpe became the 1,500th person to sign our petition yesterday evening; we at LBA Support Group have been blown away with all the support you have shown us. Thank you to everyone that has signed & shared the petition since we launched this campaign 5 weeks ago.
Update: It is our understanding that Leeds City Council has delayed the decision on Leeds Bradford Airport Terminal development planning application until mid February. Just before Christmas they requested additional environmental information; which LBA duly provided and can be viewed on the planning portal. So we have gained a bit of extra time to get as many more petition signature as possible before we entre the final phase of the campaign.

Can we reach 2,000?

So PLEASE can we ask you to continue to show your support for our campaign by SIGNING & SHARING the petition with everyone you may know through you social media platforms.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!
If anyone would like to share their local airport news right here in our news area let me know so I can give you the correct permissions to do so. It only takes a couple of minutes to upload a news story with an accompanying image. The news items can then be shared on the site homepage by you. #TakePart #Forums4airports Bring the news to one place!
survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
