Antalya to be extended into winter (y)

Corendon Airlines, the European leisure carrier, has started flying from Birmingham Airport.

Its fleet of 189-seat B737-800 aircraft are now operating flights twice a week to Dalaman and three times a week to Antalya.

This afternoon's departure to Antalya took off with a full plane of customers seeking some Turkish sun.

Corendon, which is already on sale to Antalya and Dalaman for summer 2022, today announced it will extend its Antalya service into winter 2022/23.

Winter tickets will go on sale in the next few weeks. This extension reflects the popularity of the routes and the demand from Birmingham Airport.

Paul Riches, Commercial representative of Corendon Airlines, said: “We are very excited to launch our service from Birmingham Airport. We plan to increase our Birmingham flights to many other popular holiday destinations in the following seasons. We aim to provide holidaymakers direct and comfortable flights to sunny destinations and we are confident our Birmingham flights will be successful in summer 2022 and beyond.”

Tom Screen, Aviation Director for Birmingham Airport, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Corendon Airlines to Birmingham and are pleased initial sales numbers are strong. This bodes well as the aviation sector gets back on its feet and the British public take to the skies once again after a two-year Covid-19 layoff. We look forward to developing the partnership with Corendon Airlines further in the coming years.”

Just a shot in the dark, but roughly matches the Scottish school holidays which I think start next week ? Pre Covid a spot of juggling by operators used to take place to match demand. Perhaps ? Or totally wide of the mark !

The original schedule as in post#6 by Matt995 shows the route operating uninterrupted from the beginning of April to the end of October.
Yes the Scottish school holidays is entirely plausible but you would presume Corenden would have planned that from the outset.

After all TUI have managed to do it with one of the three-weekly Orlando flights switching to Glasgow for the Scots school holidays.

If they do they will be 9H registered aircraft or maybe PH as Turkey is non EU, they did a series in 2022 ex LGW and MAN and have already announced 2024 and I think Enfida is also happening LGW and MAN so I can see no reason for BHX not getting some

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
