Chile have qualified for the first time for a Rugby World Cup after beating the USA. This also means that the RWC will see it's first ever all South American game as they'll be in a group with Argentina. The USA now go to the repechage tournament where they'll face Tonga/Hong Kong, Portugal and Kenya

The line up for the 2023 France Rugby World Cup is complete.
20 teams will compete for the Webb Ellis Trophy.
They are New Zealand (3 times winners), South Africa (3 times winners), Australia (2 times winners), England (1 time winner), France, Wales, Argentina, Ireland, Scotland, Italy, Fiji, Tonga, Japan, Samoa, Uruguay, Chile (debutant), Portugal, Namibia, Georgia, Romania.
This will be the first World Cup where there is 3 South American teams, no North American teams and Portugal return to the World Cup after a 16 year absence after winning the Qualifier Repechage against the USA. Tournament begins Friday 8 September 2023.
