I may well be wrong but I seem to recall the plan at one stage included the provision of 2 new stands at the southern end of T2 as part of the TP, which would have meant at least part if not all Pier C going. At a different time, wasn't there plans in the TP for 4 piers on T2? I imagine a 4th pier could have impinged on T1 Pier C anyway but frankly I've lost track of all the changes and their sequence.

There were proposals for 4 piers early on yes. To quote the MANTP team they realised why spend more money to demolish then build a replacement rather than work the existing pier (C) into the plan.

Yes, the project has had more changes than T1 has had additions. Hopefully this is of use

Wouldn't the satellite of Pier C have to be demolished to make way for the dual taxiway system?
This is still part of the overall TP...unless MAG will make some airfield changes to the area where the entrance to the Thomas Cook hanger is, so there is more available space on that side of the dual taxiways (to be). The airfield operations centre is still around there too...which should have already moved by now...any news on this?

3.0 SCOPE & LOCATION OF WORKS
3.1 The overall scope of work be the undertaking of intrusive ground surveys consisting of 1 x window sample.
3.2 The window sample (designated WS02) will be located within Equipment Bay 209.
4.0 OPERATIONAL IMPLICATIONS
4.1 Whilst work is in progress at location WS02, Equipment Bay 209 will be temporarily closed. Displaced vehicles/ equipment may be parked on the currently closed Stand 211.
4.2 Stands 209 and 210 will remain fully operational throughout the programme of work.
4 5.0 WORK AREA DEMARCATION
5.1 The work area will be demarked by full height Heras fencing, mounted an alternate red/white base blocks.
5.2 Work area fencing will be lit H24 by low intensity, steady red obstacle lighting.
6.0 LOW VISIBILITY PROCEDURES (LVP)
6.1 Overall, the work has no impact on the airport’s ability to operate during periods of low visibility.

All flight operations will take place on Runway 05R‐23L whilst work is in progress. This is a re‐instatement of the runway closures that were previously promulgated (and cancelled) within OAN 038/2022, however, the scope of work has been significantly changed.
2.0 PROGRAMME
2.1 Work will take place on the nights of Tuesday 2nd to Thursday 4th August 2022, inclusive.
2.2 The planned nightly working hours will be 23:59 – 06:00L, with work concluding on the morning of Friday 5th August.
3.0 SCOPE & LOCATION OF WORKS
3.1 Overall, the scope and location of work will be:
 Runway pavement surface rubber removal.
 Refreshment of painted runway ground markings.
4.0 OPERATIONAL IMPLICATIONS
4.1 During the Runway 05L‐23R closure period (23:59‐06:00L) all flight operations will take place on Runway 05R‐23L.
5.0 LOW VISIBILITY OPERATIONS (LVO)
5.1 In the event of forecast low visibility, the planned work will be cancelled and Runway 05L‐23R will remain open.
5.2 In the event of un‐forecast reduced visibility conditions (meeting the criteria for LVP Alert) during the Runway 05L‐23R closure period when work has begun on the runway paved surface, the aerodrome will close to flight operations whilst the runway is recovered. An ‘AD Closed’ NOTAM will be issued in such circumstances.

1.0 SUMMARY Prior to the future installation of new aircraft fuel hydrant system pipework from the MASHCo Fuel Farm onto the airfield, a package of enabling work is required. As such, 4 x trial excavations will be carried out, two of which will be within the MASHCo Fuel Farm, and two others within the road system in the vicinity of West Gate security point. Vehicular access routes will be maintained at all times, however temporary traffic management measures will be in place whilst excavation work is in progress.
2.0 SCOPE & LOCATION OF WORKS
2.1 The scope of work will be the excavation and subsequent reinstatement of four trial holes.
2.2 Two trial holes (TH1 and TH2) will be located within the MASHCo Fuel Farm and will have no operational impact (This OAN does not make any further consideration of TH1 and TH2).
2.3 One trial hole (TH3) will be located within the road system, opposite West Gate security point.
2.4 Another trial hole (TH4) will be located on the Dnata cargo traffic airfield exit point, adjacent to Sub Station ‘R’. 2.5 See attached drawings depicting the exact working locations and temporary traffic management plans for Trail Holes TH3 and TH4.
3.0 PROGRAMME
3.1 Overall, the work affecting the roadsin the vicinity of Westgate security point will commence on Monday 15th and be completed by Wednesday 31st August 2022.
3.2 All work will take place during daylight hours.
3.3 Work on trial hole TH3, located on the road system opposite West Gate security point will commence on Monday 15th and will be completed by Friday 19th August.
3.4 Work on trial hole TH4, located on the Dnata cargo traffic exit route adjacent to Sub‐Station ‘R’ will commence on Monday 22nd and will be completed by Wednesday 31st August.
4.0 OPERATIONAL IMPLICATIONS
4.1 Whilst work is in progress in each location, temporary traffic management plans will be in place (see attached drawings).
4.2 A fenced work area will be erected at the location of TH3 and willremain in‐situ H24 until the road surface is reinstated. Therefore, the holding point for vehicular traffic waiting to enter West Gate will be temporarily relocated for the duration of the work and will be manned H24 to actively manage any waiting vehicles.
4.3 Once work on trial hole TH3 has been completed and the road has been reinstated, a fenced work area will be erected at the location of TH4 and will remain in‐situ H24 until the road surface is reinstated. This work will require a temporary diversion of the airfield exit route used by Dnata. The temporary route will be manned H24 by MAG Airfield Security.
5.0 LOW VISIBILITY PROCEDURES (LVP)
5.1 The work will have no effect on the airport’s ability to operate during periods of low visibility.

In order to facilitate ongoing MAN‐TP construction works within the Terminal 2 building, from Monday 8th August 2022 Gates 209 and 210 will be closed and the stand access nodes will no longer be available for use. The aircraft parking stands will remain live but will become ‘remote’ and used for arrivals only, with passengers being bussed from aircraft. Handling Agents will be required to provide aircraft steps. Aircraft docking will be via Marshaller’s instructions.
2.0 PROGRAMME
2.1 The change to the operating mode of Stands 209 and 210 will take place at 15:00L on Monday 8th August 2022.
3.0 SCOPE & LOCATION OF WORKS
3.1 There will be no physical work taking place on the airfield. All associated work will be within the terminal building.
4.0 OPERATIONAL IMPLICATIONS
4.1 From the above date the following operational implications will apply on Stands 209 & 210:
Aircraft Passenger Access
4.1.1 Handling Agents will be required to provide aircraft steps.
Passenger Bussing
4.1.2 The stands will operate as remote stands, and passengers will be bussed from aircraft.
Airbridge Service
4.1.3 The airbridges will be withdrawn from use and re‐positioned outside of their usual parking circles to allow sufficient space for manoeuvring of aircraft steps.
AVDGS Service
4.1.4 The AVDGS systems will be withdrawn from use and all aircraft docking will be via Marshaller’s instructions.
4.2 MAN‐TP demolition and construction work will be commencing during late Summer within the footprint of Stands 209 and 210, at which point the stands will be permanently closed. Future OANs will provide specific details of this work.

 Installation of new pit cover.
 Reinstatement of excavated pavement.
 Minor reconfiguration of apron road markings.
2.2 All work will take place within a temporarily closed section of the apron road system, namely, the link road between rear and of head stands, adjacent to Stand 201.
3.0 PROGRAMME
3.1 The programme of work will commence on Monday 1st and will be completed by Friday 26th August 2022.
3.2 All work will take place during daylight hours, Monday – Friday.
4.0 OPERATIONAL IMPLICATIONS
4.1 For the duration of the works programme, a demarked apron road diversion will be in place H24, as shown on the attached drawing. 4.2 The pedestrian route leading from West Gate along the head of Stand 201 will remain available at all times. The interface between the diverted apron road system and pedestrian walkway will be clearly demarked, however pedestrians should remain vigilant whilst approaching and crossing the diverted portion of apron road.
4.3 A contractor banksman will be on site during daily working times to assist with the management of contractor traffic, pedestrians, and general apron road traffic.
4.4 Access to the airside vehicle refuelling point adjacent to Stand 201 will be retained at all times.

1.1 Three individual night‐time shutdowns of the aircraft fuel hydrant system are required to facilitate essential work at the MASHCo fuel farm to connect to new fuel hydrant system infrastructure. The timing of the shutdowns will be coordinated to avoid any operational disruption.
2.0 PROGRAMME
2.1 Overall, the work will start on Monday 5th September and be completed by the morning of Tuesday 20th September 2022.
2.1.1 The portion of the aircraft fuel hydrant system serving Terminals 1 and 3 will be shut down overnight on Monday 5th and Wednesday 7th September (with the night of Thursday 8th September held as contingency).
2.1.2 The portion of the aircraft fuel hydrant system serving Terminal 2 and West Apron remote stands (from Stand 65 onwards) will be shut down overnight on Monday 19th September.
2.2 Nominally, the work will be carried out between the hours of 22:00L and 05:00L each night.
3.0 SCOPE & LOCATION OF WORKS
3.1 The scope of work will involve connecting new fuel hydrant infrastructure into the existing hydrant system.
3.2 All work will take place within the MASHCo Fuel Farm.
4.0 OPERATIONAL IMPLICATIONS
4.1 Aircraft hydrant fuelling will not be available on Terminals 1 and 3 or Stands 61‐64 between the hours of 22:00L and 04:30L on the nights of Monday 5th and Wednesday 7th September (with the night of Thursday 8th September held as contingency).
4.1.1 The portion of the aircraft fuel hydrant system serving Terminal 2 and West Apron remote stands will not be affected during the Terminal 1 and 3 aircraft fuel hydrant system shutdown times; this includes all Terminal 2 pier served and remote stands, and West Apron remote Stands 65 onwards. 4.2 Aircraft hydrant fuelling will not be available on Terminal 2 contact and remote stands or West Apron remote Stands 65 onwards on the night of Monday 19th September.
4.2.1 The portion of the aircraft fuel hydrant system serving Terminals 1 and 3 will not be affected during the Terminal 2 aircraft fuel hydrant system shutdown times.
4.3 The work has been coordinated to avoid operational disruption, and therefore, will not commence until the final aircraft departure (prior to first wave) requiring hydrant fuelling has been served. In the event of the final aircraft departure being delayed, the start of work will also be delayed, as required.
4.4 Outside of the aforementioned times, the aircraft fuel hydrant system will be operating as normal.
5.0 LOW VISIBILITY OPERATIONS (LVO)
5.1 Overall, the work will have no effect on the airport’s ability to operate during periods of low visibility.
5.2 Work may continue during periods of low visibility due to there being no requirement for the works party to enter the airfield.

An overall programme of circa three weeks work to carry out numerous maxicrete pavement repairs to several areas on the northside taxiway system. The work will require a rolling programme of localised, night‐time taxiway closures.
2.0 PROGRAMME
2.1 The overall programme of work will commence on the night of Sunday 16th October and will be completed by the morning of Tuesday 6th December 2022.
2.1.1 The works will be split into two phases, as follows:
Phase 1: Sunday 16th to Thursday 27th October.
Phase 2: Thursday 28th November to Monday 5th December.
2.2 Work will take place Sunday ‐ Thursday nights, with nominal working times of 22:30 – 05:30L (subject to operational requirements).
3.0 SCOPE & LOCATION OF WORKS
3.1 The overall scope of work will entail numerous northside taxiway pavement repairs.
3.2 Multiple, individual taxiway pavement repairs will be carried out across the following locations:
 Taxiway Bravo between Intermediate Holding Points (IHP) B2 and B6.
 Taxiways Juliet‐Echo and Juliet‐Foxtrot.
 Taxiway Lima.
 The junction of Taxiways Lima, Echo and Delta.
 Taxiway November‐Alpha in the vicinity of IHP NA1.
 The junction of Taxiways Lima and Papa.
 The junction of Taxiways Romeo and November‐Charlie
4.0 OPERATIONAL IMPLICATIONS
4.1 A rolling programme of localised, night‐time taxiway closures will be required to facilitate the work.
4.2 As far as practicable, the taxiway closures will be managed to avoid operational disruption.
4.3 Work on taxiways that directly serve aircraft parking stands will not commence until night‐stopping aircraft have been parked.
4.3.1 Due to the nature of the pavement repair work, once night‐stopping aircraft have been parked, subsequent push‐back off stand may not be possible until the completion of works the following morning.
4.4 Whilst night‐time pavement repair work is in progress, there may be a requirement for non‐standard aircraft pushback manoeuvres from some stands. Non‐standard pushback manoeuvres are to be carried out as directed by ATC.
5.0 WORK AREA DEMARCATION
5.1 Nightly closed portions of taxiway will be demarked by lit mobile barriers and extinguished taxiway centreline lighting leading to/through the area of work in progress.
6.0 LOW VISIBILITY PROCEDURES (LVP)

1.0 SUMMARY
The dual‐ purpose Taxiway November‐Bravo/ Stand 80 will be closed for up to six weeks to facilitate the replacement of 6 x failed concrete pavement bays.
2.0 PROGRAMME
2.1 The overall programme of work will commence on the night of Sunday 16th October and will be completed by Sunday 27th November 2022.
2.2 The erection of the work area demarcation will take place on the night of Sunday 16th October, after which, the programme of work will take place during daytime hours.
2.3 Work will take place seven days a week. Nominal daily working times will be 08:00 – 17:00L.
3.0 SCOPE & LOCATION OF WORKS
3.1 All work will be located on the closed Taxiway November‐Bravo.
3.2 The overall scope of work will be as follows:
 Erect work area demarcation.
 Pavement saw‐cutting and coring.
 Break‐out areas of failed pavement.
 Pouring of new concrete.
 Period of curing (either 14 or 28 days, TBC).
 Pavement joint sealing.  Removal of work area demarcation.
4.0 OPERATIONAL IMPLICATIONS
4.1 Taxiway November‐Bravo will be closed H24 for the duration of the works.
4.2 Stand 80 (all centrelines) will be closed H24 for the duration of the works.
4.3 The adjacent Stand 231 will be unaffected by the works and will remain open throughout.
5.0 WORK AREA DEMARCATION
5.1 The work area will be demarked by full height Heras fencing mounted on alternate red/white base blocks.
5.2 The work area fencing will be lit H24 by low intensity, red obstacle lighting.
6.0 LOW VISIBILITY PROCEDURES (LVP)
6.1 Overall, the work has no impact on the airport’s ability to operate during periods of low visibility.

1.0 SUMMARY An overall programme of up to four weeks’ work to carry out numerous pavement repairs to several aircraft parking stands on Terminals 1 and 2 and areas on the southside taxiway system. All work on aircraft parking stands will be carried out during daylight hours. Work on southside taxiways will be carried out at night outside of Runway 05R‐23L standard operating hours.
2.0 PROGRAMME
2.1 The overall programme of work will commence on Monday 7th November and will be completed by the morning of Friday 25th November 2022.
2.2 The work will be split into two phases, as follows:
DATES ACTIVITY
Monday 7th – Friday 18th November Daytime pavement repairs on aircraft parking stands.
Sunday 20th – Thursday 24th November. Night‐time pavement repairs on southside taxiways.
2.3 Work will take place Sunday – Friday.
2.4 Nominal daytime working times will be 08:00 – 17:00L.
2.5 Night‐time working times will be 20:30 – 05:30L.
N.B: The above works programme dates are weather dependent.
3.0 SCOPE & LOCATION OF WORKS
3.1 Multiple pavement repairs will be carried out across the following aircraft parking stands:
 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, 12, 15, 21 & 202.
3.2 Southside taxiway pavement repairs will be located on Link Tango and Taxiway Victor.
4.0 OPERATIONAL IMPLICATIONS
4.1 A rolling programme of daytime aircraft parking stand closures will be required, with work taking place on one stand at a time.
4.2 As far as practicable, the stand closures will be managed to avoid operational disruption.
4.3 Night‐time work on southside taxiways will take place outside of the standard Runway 05R‐23L operating hours, therefore no operational implications are anticipated as a result of the work.
5.0 WORK AREA DEMARCATION 5.1 Areas of daytime work in progress on aircraft parking stands will be demarked by heavyweight, reflective cones. A lit mobile barrier will be placed at the rear of closed stands.
5.2 Areas of night‐time work in progress on southside taxiways will be floodlit and the extents demarked by heavyweight, reflective cones and lit mobile barriers.
6.0 LOW VISIBILITY PROCEDURES (LVP)
6.1 Overall, the work has no impact on the airport’s ability to operate during periods of low visibility.
6.2 In the event of forecast low visibility, the night‐time work on the southside taxiways will be cancelled.
