I don't think there is anything suggesting a prospect of a downgrade to a 321, as you say, they have put a 4th weekly flight on sale with the 787. People are more suggesting that with pax levels as low as they are right now, a 321 would be sufficient. It is however worth nothing that 321 are people put on some flights to Paris for example so SV are not against using 321s on longer routes. But yes, as of yet, all flights remaining 787
Gotcha, UK destinations only I would have expected only wides? But that was disproven given we had LGW-NUM ops… in the 320 no less.

...and in the latest update, having started operating 4x weekly from BHX in April, SV have cut a majority of their schedule in May to just 3x flights for the entire month of May on the 17th, 21st and 30th of the month. Back to 4x weekly in June as things stand!

Anyone able to access how Saudia loads are today later on? Noticed its been at FL400 all flight. Quite the high rider today! Similar to my 31/12/2023 flight, which also cruised at 40,000 FT throughout the whole flight

Can that be interpreted that pax are using Saudia outbound but not inbound? Are timings bad on the return?

It's currently Hajj season which means entry into Saudia Arabia or Mecca and Madinah to be exact is restricted. This may also explain the lower inbound load.

It's similar to the early days of a new charter service where outbound loads are higher. If I'm correct, the Hajj will be over in two weeks and we should see an increase in Birmingham bound pax.

In fairness, May and June are always low season for travel to or through the middle east... is the lull between peak Easter and Summer holidays and between religious festival and weather, loads going east have always been low at this time of year.

Granted the Iran War and Fuel shortages/prices are only adding to this...

June seems to be better than May, couple more reservations available.

We’re going to finish this month off with only three SV250 services correct?

EDIT: Unfortunately doesn’t seem to be the case.

Unfortunately, I have read a report which states saudia are suspending Birmingham. Timeline follows from 29th of June to 24th of October. Although may possibly be permanent.

I can find 2 flights today and next Sunday then nothing until November at 3 a week

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?
LBA: B737-300 G-GDFK empty down to Paris at 16:15 to operate the return LS268 back to Leeds 20:00 ETA where it will then operate the delayed LS265 to Malaga 20:40ETD
LBA: Albastar B737-800 EC-MUB positioning in tommorow afternoon from Gatwick 15:45 to operate a charter to Lourdes/Tarbes on Friday afternoon 14:00 AP7721 STC
I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,
