Did anyone else have to go through hoops to watch the video? I had to go through Vimeo's age verification checks!

Its excellent, not sure why they use 'Airplane' instead of the more correct 'Aeroplane' though.No. Just opened and watched. Twice. I think its reaĺly good too.
I noticed that. An Americanism spoken in a pretty obvious Yorkshire accent. Aircraft would have been better, but its a minor annoyance. Its excellent, not sure why they use 'Airplane' instead of the more correct 'Aeroplane' though.
As time goes on, I feel like we’re seeing a steady drift towards Americanisms replacing standard British English. My own grammar and spelling are far from perfect and I’m sure a few of you have had a chuckle at my posts over the years, but I always try to stick to UK English. As younger generations move into influential roles, the heavy influence of US social media is making it harder to preserve traditional terms. It's even creeping into institutions like the BBC, where you now hear "homicide" used instead of "murder." It doesn't help when our own teaching establishments are using US terms such as "Get in line", rather than join the queue. Etc.I noticed that. I guess all the emails for support have not gone onto the portal as yet? As I no at lease 10 people who have sent a email in the last day for supportCurrent status 405 against and 144 for. And so far today 10 objections and 1 for so whilst as said this is not the be all and end all I do hope we can obtain some more support. I also hope I have avoided Yankeeisms there 🤣
Plus my wife.I guess all the emails for support have not gone onto the portal as yet? As I no at lease 10 people who have sent a email in the last day for support
Norwegians are taught British English - grammar and spelling, but tv is not dubbed, so American English is also very present. Fortunately, I have been told I speak with a non-de script English accent and no remnant of pitch accent, which is how most people hear Scandinavians (sing-song up and down).US lingo

I understand English is the main language for the European Parliament and they use British English by default.Norwegians are taught British English - grammar and spelling, but tv is not dubbed, so American English is also very present. You would think airport employees would make a big difference, so fingers crossed!I don't know for sure, but I don't think the airport generated proformas are on yet. Others say they know of quite a few who have supported the airport, as do I, and numerius people on line say they have, yet the total has only increased by 37. Hopefully after the weekend there may be an influx of support to add. I still fully expect opposition to exceed support by at least 2 to 1, because it usually does, and not just at LBA.
It will, if they bother. Let's hope they feel incentivised to do so.You would think airport employees would make a big difference, so fingers crossed!
