Noticed the Emerald from BHD around lunchtime use stand 1. So yes better use of lower stand numbers could also be a way to increase. Is there such a thing as Orange Tartan!
It’s not the best stand to use for an outbound as they have to use the buses to get the pax to the plane. Mainly gets used only when it’s busy or they park one of the Jet2 B733s on it during night stop.

It actually looks quite good.
It certainly does, the graphics actually complement the rest of the grey terminal well and really stand out without looking cheap and tacky, also the variation of colours used and those little diagnal dots give it an arty edge. Its certainly what was needed to break up an all grey building.

I must say, it doesn't look like it'll be finished in June based on recent progress. There's as much to do outside as there is inside. We're still far from weathertight, we're not yet connected to the existing terminal, still lots of holes in the building, landscaping needs doing, link bridge work is glacial, and they've just taken the window trims off for the third time (the windows were installed 3 months ago)...

I seem to recall Vincent Hodder saying the work was around two weeks behind and the extension would be open a good week before the public opening for staff familiarisation. It might be that the arrivals opens before the departures or the other way around depending on how things are progressing.

There's a month to go yet before handover and from my experience it's amazing how quickly things come together near the end. There will be a progress chart in the site office and it's up up to the main contractor and managing architect to make sure that handover is on schedule, otherwise, it's highly likely that penalties will be levied on the contractor(s) responsible for the delay.

It all depends on what snagging is needed. When our offices were totally revamped a few years they made a total dogs breakfast of it especially the bogs which they made a total bog of.
True, but if they've any sense, they will have withheld a percentage of the contracted fee on the basis its only paid over to the contractor when snagging is completed satisfactorily. Otherwise, snagging can often turn into a nightmare.

However, as phase 2 is being done by the same contractor who will still be on site, it shouldn't be a problem. Any delays may be down to subcontractors or delayed deliveries. Let's face it , any project of this size, you're really lucky if nothing goes wrong and there are no delays, and the more complex it is, the greater the risk. And make no mistake. This project really is complex!

Hi, I was born and lived in B36 for a long time - Lindale Avenue, just around the corner from Hodge Hill Comp.
I just noticed your postcode on a post.

Do you still live in the area?

49 trips undertaken last year. First done this year which was to North Wales where surprisingly the only slippery surfaces were in Conwy with the castle and it's walls closed due to the ice.
