Don't think that BOH and the 3rd aircraft is a worry - after all I believe Malaga should have succeeded in terms of package holidays with little competition at BOH from that front. Shall we be a little happier? Could that 3rd aircraft meant for BOH end up at LBA without W patterning off somewhere else?

Reading between the lines in the dried fruit forum; there are currently 6 aircraft currently base at BOH with 6 stands for those aircraft. They are unable to expand the current stand offering until the cargo ramp is complete as the cargo aircraft take the alternative stands.

I also believe the infrastructure isn't quite up to speed at BOH to handle 6 aircraft let alone an extra from Jet2. Allegedly Ryanair also want to add a 3rd aircraft to BOH - so take of that what you will.

As for late bookings it definitely is a UK wide thing at the moment. To be expected (without trying to get political) when we've got an idiot in charge of the HMRC and a "cost of living in the UK" crisis going on.

There was an interesting post on the Jet2 thread on the DFF that someone thought the next A21N batch were to replace B733s at LBA. Clearly got their facts wrong but if only it were true. Sorry I know I am sounding like a stuck record now

Very different!

So different that it would be no more costly to fly a 321N under full capacity with a full 733 load, than a full 733 on the same route? I know that it won’t happen because the airline will seek to maximise revenue from its new, expensive aircraft but an interesting, theoretical question nevertheless.
 
Thank you @pilot_737 that is useful info. Suppose charges/fees are higher on the larger aircraft but potentially more than offset if the LF is higher.

Thinking about Jet2 here and the impact the CLEUD verdict may have is that if our Orange friends start more away based flying, which is strongly rumoured, then Jet2 would I suspect do everything they can to ensure market share is not lost. So I still see some positives could come out of all this but at the same time I took hope Jet2 do some lobbying based on potential impacts

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.

Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
