It doesn't. It should have been posted in the Manchester Jet2 thread. How does this relate to LBA?
They have over over a hundred aircraft. Why would they stop engineering at LBA where they have the staff, expertise on Boeing aircraft and the apparent ability to coax our 300s to keep flying (most.of the time). I think they need to keep LBA for maintenance.Unless of course they intend to centralise the engineering and maintenance in the North and stop leasing the Multiflight hangar at LBA.

Not forgetting that once LBA becomes a 321 base there would only be room for two aircraft in the hanger. At the moment I understand Jet2 have use of 3 of the 4 bays, Well if rumour is true jet2 have already asked/inquired recently about taking over full use of the multiflight hangar at LBA.
I agree fully but I did think it was worth raising a theoretical pointThey have over over a hundred aircraft. Because Jet2 has a bit of maintenance going on at LBA…or maybe not now.How does this relate to LBA?

They would fit in terms of wingspan but definitely not length. It's already very tightI understand you can possibly fit 4x A321’s into the multiflight hangar if they have use of all 4 bays with some very clever positioning.
Remember the A321 has both a smaller wingspan and its length is shorter than the B757. Plus the A321 tail height is shorter so they won’t need to use/open high door for access.
Can't have been a very highroad factor for the original 737-800/A321 then.Jet2 must be short of aircraft over at Manchester. As Leeds based Boeing 737-300, G-GDFG was positioned over hill yesterday as EXS042A to operate a Tenerife South EXS9190/9200 rotation then re-positioned back to Leeds afterwards as EXS047A

At the last company roadshow, it was confirmed that there are no immediate plans to carry out Airbus maintenance at Leeds. While it hasn’t been ruled out for the future, there’s nothing scheduled at this stage. It’s also understood that Jet2 are hoping to take full occupancy of all four bays in the main hangar, as they’re currently limited to three.I understand you can possibly fit 4x A321’s into the multiflight hangar if they have use of all 4 bays with some very clever positioning.
