Old age is catching up on me, it was Tuesday. He taxied into the loop saying he would has fast climb as he only had 2 passengers on board as it was the last flight of the season for EXS229. He then reported some problem and asked to taxi back to stand. Sorry for confusion of days)))
ps Was carrying out engine runs Tuesday afternoon.

A nice little earner! Nearly as much as MOL.

Jet2 CEO Stephen Paul Heapy earned a total of £3.19 million (USD 3.9 million) in the most recent financial year, placing him among the top-paid airline bosses in Europe. His base salary was £849,000, with £20,000 in benefits and £102,000 in pension contributions. The majority of his compensation came from performance-based incentives, including bonuses and share rewards.

Heapy, who has led Jet2 since 2009, has overseen the airline’s expansion into one of the United Kingdom’s most successful leisure carriers. His pay structure is closely tied to Jet2’s performance and reflects the company’s strong financial results, including revenue of £6.25 billion and £428 million in operating profit.

Interesting especially now as Jet2 are currently undertaking a network wide route review, which may lead to some changes. It’s definitely one to watch

I think Jet2 growth focus will be very firmly elsewhere for S26. Nothing wrong with LBA but their eyes are on a new prize for next year.

I hear the review covers most bases. Its definitely worrying after the profits waring in September where they announced a 10% capacity reduction for this winter due to weaker demand..
It could see the end of the aging Boeing 737-300 fleet earlier than planned along with the leased Boeing 737-800's been returned to there leasing companies earlier.
As the brand new fleet of Airbus A321's get delivered the maybe less focus on European beach routes and more on longer runs down to Egypt, Tunisia, Cape Verde & maybe further if Long Haul is finally on the cards.

The question is what will they do long haul with? As I understand the leases for the 2x Air Tanker A330's hasn't been renewed for next year..

Statements like that will lead to claims of a new 10 aircraft base at DSA!

Donny wont be open until at least summer 2028. So I guess you can rule that one out for now.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
