On other events Jet2 B738 G-JZBE is covering the ACE flight after B738 G-JZDC diverted to MAN due to a tech issue.
I mentioned the replacement aircraft above? But yes I agree the -800s have tech issues aswell GDFX was tech in Leeds for a few days but has since returned to service.I’m sorry…Have I missed the outcry caused by the LBA-ACE diverting to MAN earlier today. Of course it was operated on a 12 year old 737-800….lf it was on a 737-300 the usual suspects would be foaming at the mouth by now![]()
G-JZHO went tech before operating the PFO flight so had to find a rescue aircraft believe G-JZDA covered that. Although HO has since positioned out to MAN this afternoon so must have fixed it.Does anyone know why we had 3 inbound positioning flights from MAN this morning? All 737 800s. All our flights landed yesterday so they weren't diverts coming home.

G-GDFD went tech in Rome yesterday so brought in G-JZBB to cover that one (GDFD is back at MAN now and will tail swap on tommorow PRG flight with JZDA if all goes to plan)
Believe we were meant to get B738 G-GDFR from Teesside yesterday but got cancelled so believe that was the other one. G-JZBW was the third cover aircraft.
Egypt was served previously by Jet2 with 757 equipment and by Tui 737MAX.Before any Leeds forum member kicks off about Egypt not out of Leeds. A bit of common sense tells you it’s from bases with A321 only. Do I expect Egypt to rapidly expand into every other base? YES.
