If I remember correctly its this week that Jet2.com restarts its 2x weekly (Mon & Fri) schedule flight operations to Vienna, Berlin & Copenhagen from Leeds/Bradford whilst Cologne starts on December 1st.

Meanwhile Leeds/Bradford - Prague route increases from 2x to 4x weekly (Mon, Thu-Fri & Sun) from November 27th.

Do we know if GDFT has gone tech as it's not moved in 6 days and is not being used today?
Nothings wrong with it. Just been parked up on remote stands with it being quiet. It’s operating this afternoons Alicante 14:25.

On other events Jet2 B738 G-JZBE is covering the ACE flight after B738 G-JZDC diverted to MAN due to a tech issue.

This morning FR24 said GDFN was doing the ACE rotation so it must have changed since then or FR24 was wrong. Thanks for the update.

I’m sorry…Have I missed the outcry caused by the LBA-ACE diverting to MAN earlier today. Of course it was operated on a 12 year old 737-800….lf it was on a 737-300 the usual suspects would be foaming at the mouth by now 🤤

I mentioned the replacement aircraft above? But yes I agree the -800s have tech issues aswell GDFX was tech in Leeds for a few days but has since returned to service.

“The annual overseas holiday remains a cherished priority” - Jet2 reports record half-year results.

Listed travel company Jet2 has hailed a record financial performance in terms of passenger numbers, revenue and profitability in its half-year results.

The group reported revenue of £5.34bn for the half year ended 30 September 2025, up from £5.09bn in the same period of 2024.

Pre-tax profit increased to £800.3m from £791.4m the previous year.

Jet2 also reported an increase of 750,000 passengers flown to 14.09 million, representing 40 per cent growth from pre-pandemic passenger numbers.

The company said the performance from its two newest operating bases at Bournemouth and London Luton had been encouraging. Last week (12 November), it announced plans to launch at London Gatwick airport for Summer 2026, with slots secured for six aircraft following the release of additional capacity.

On sale seat capacity for Winter 2025/26 is currently 7.7 per cent higher than Winter 2024/25 at 5.5 million seats, with the late booking profile reported during Summer 2025 continuing.

Jet2 has also announced an increased interim dividend of 4.5p, up from 4.4p the prior year, as well as a further share buyback of £100m.

Steve Heapy, Jet2 plc chief executive, said: "We are very pleased to report another record financial performance for the first half of the year, illustrating how our flexible operating model can adapt to changing consumer behaviour.

"Customers may be booking later, but it is clear they still want their well-earned holidays in the sun with a brand they can trust. Our differentiated, service-led, end-to-end product offering continues to set us apart, delivering seamless, great-value experiences that ensure customers come back time and time again.

"As announced last week, we are thrilled to launch our award-winning Customer First service from London Gatwick next year - a once in a generation opportunity to further accelerate our growth from the UK's largest beach and city leisure destination airport.

"We believe the annual overseas holiday remains a cherished priority for many, often taking precedence over other discretionary spending even in uncertain economic times. We continue to build loyalty by offering customers an extensive product range, highly flexible holiday options and exceptional customer service giving them the freedom to tailor their travel plans to suit their individual needs. Our proven business model continues to deliver and this gives us confidence in our future growth prospects."

Jet2 is headquartered in Leeds and currently operates from 13 UK airport bases at Belfast International, Birmingham, Bournemouth, Bristol, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford, Liverpool John Lennon, London Stansted, London Luton, Manchester and Newcastle.

Does anyone know why we had 3 inbound positioning flights from MAN this morning? All 737 800s. All our flights landed yesterday so they weren't diverts coming home.
G-JZHO went tech before operating the PFO flight so had to find a rescue aircraft believe G-JZDA covered that. Although HO has since positioned out to MAN this afternoon so must have fixed it.

G-GDFD went tech in Rome yesterday so brought in G-JZBB to cover that.

Believe we were meant to get B738 G-GDFR from Teesside yesterday but got cancelled so believe that was the other one. G-JZBW was the third cover aircraft.

Thank you. Appreciated.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
