Isn’t as if they could go to DSA, is it?

I bet all the Donny fans will be saying it wouldn’t happen there as there runway points in the right direction all the time..
Their runway is in a giant turntable so can be rotated into wind at all times.

Talking of turning tables, the forecast suggests that tomorrow it'll be those airports whose runways point in the correct direction that will be struggling and with even stronger winds, whilst LBA might have the wind straight down 32 again.

Expect delays on Emerald to Belfast City. G-CMMK has had an emergency on the runway - looks like the front wheel gear has collapsed on a "hard" landing. The ATR was empty apart from crew but it has closed the airport with an LBA inbound diverting to Belfast International.

Outbound flights to Belfast cancelled as Belfast City will be closed until Monday. Belfast International at capacity so no further diverts being taken.

PIO?
Been at this a long time and everyday is still a schoolday for me!

Pilot-induced oscillation: An undesirable phenomenon in aircraft control that can occur when a pilot attempts to maneuver the aircraft precisely. PIOs can happen when the pilot is engaged in a demanding control task, such as during approach or landing.

I thought it was Pissed In Otley

This afternoon's Ryanair from Málaga, a 737 MAX has gone around twice due to fog, so will presumably be off elsewhere now. Strange really given Cat 3 (assuming it's available) and a stated 7 knot wind from 270 degrees. In it's second approach, FR24 showed it descending to 325 feet before climbing again.

Update. After turning West, apparently heading for LPL, it turned NE, climbing to 15000 feet and is now apparently descending into NCL. Can't say I've seen FR divert to NCL too often. I'm just watching the footy at Sheffield and it's foggy there too.

Hi, I was born and lived in B36 for a long time - Lindale Avenue, just around the corner from Hodge Hill Comp.
I just noticed your postcode on a post.

Do you still live in the area?

If you’re tired of takeoffs, you’re tired of life.
49 trips undertaken last year. First done this year which was to North Wales where surprisingly the only slippery surfaces were in Conwy with the castle and it's walls closed due to the ice.
