Obstruction on the runway according to this report.
Subscribers only so no idea what it says. However, it's the YEP so it will no doubt be full if ridiculous c**p about LBA being dangerous and comments from informed passengers claiming they never fly from here because it's too
windy, too high, the runways too short, better going to MAN or DSA (oops).

Wow news reporting at its worst, for a start it was night time this occured as i actually put a comment on here myself reg the missed approach, the pic shows daylight so its not actually footage, the fr24 pic is the only true image, and wind is weather so not in theory an obstruction! YEP=B****!
It wasn't a wind related go around. Obstruction on the runway could be anything from another aircraft, to an animal to a foreign object being reported that needed to be removed, but either way this is disgusting sensationalist reporting of the worst kind, which frankly, LBA should be having words about with the so called editor.

Yes my error WH, there were 2 aborted ibiza flights, one thru the day and one in the night

Apparently there just has been an emergency at lba with an aer lingus returning due to smoke in cockpit, dep lba 12.53 returning minutes later according to reports

I fly from LBA around 4-5 times a year, every year for the last 10 years but not as often the 30 years prior to that. I have only EVER had 2 go arounds, 1 at GIB and 1 at CDG….a lot of lumpy landings at LBA but not 1 go around…personally I love the airport, you’re in, through and off you go.

G-GDFM did another go around this afternoon, inbound from Jersey. It landed 2nd time. No other go around on a busy afternoon.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
