Shame we were not able to sit outside as aircraft movements were non stop!

And another reason that would have been good was because I really felt HF didn't want us there as we weren't eating and felt we had outstayed our welcome. Whilst it's convenient for airport viewing I think we should look for an alternative for the next one, although not sure where that would be

I agree. Its entirely focussed on food and once you had eaten they soon wanted us gone. A proper pub where the beer is good but there's still a car park would be good.

HF should of been on 2 levels, food lower and a drinking and viewing area above which would give an even better view of the runway/aircraft, been a level up would make all the difference esp as the runway is raised and the bushes, rd etc do get a bit in the way at HF. Word would get out about the viewing area and certainly increase buisness, not much forward vision this side of the pennines, of course MAN has fantastic viewing areas.

Best to just plan something then perhaps the day before after checking the weather forecast confirm if the meet ups going ahead or not. Typical english weather is always an issue , one week lovely and the next s***!

Absolutely understandable. We weren't far behind you as the pub manager made it clear he needed our table.

Looking at the photo I'm not surprised they were keen to get you all out of the door.
