Well after the security lottery, we went shopping and finished up in the cabin again for breakfast...Just as good as before but staff a bit hit and miss...RyR app you can't fault...told us 2 hours in advance it was gate 5...next door are the two exec lounges, so I went in and was met by a lovely lady who showed me round both, explained the differences and made a very good impression of LBA...Value for money?...no..but as an experience to add on then yes...The 1462 looked really good...waiter service..
Overall the staff we've met have been welcoming, polite, very helpful and makes you want to go back...
Sure it's not busy and that makes difference..The flight crew have just arrived, complete with coffee and gone to flight ops...good sign and were sat at gate 5 ready for the next Ryanair adventure 🍿🍷☀️🎊😂
1432 lounge £45.00 and £35.00 for the other lounges….silly money in my opinion.

As a regular user of LB A it is disheartening to read all the negative comments when my personal experiences have always been good.
As a former MAN user, I was converted by forum member "White Heather" and have not regretted the change at all. Of course there are problems at Leeds, I have never get seen the escalators working for example, but nowhere is perfect.
It is frustrating to read of the actions of local MPs, councillors and anti aircraft action groups who all seem to be trying to block progress. I look forward to the new improved terminal which I hope will address most, if not all, of the complaints outlined in this thread.

Welcome to the forum Dave! An excellent and positive first post. I look forward to many more (or I'll be having words with you over a pint!! 😉 ).

Welcome, Dave but don't mention that bloody escalator LOL.

Flew out of LBA on Friday 26th Jan to TFS, LS243 straight up to Jet2 check in, staff waiting for passengers, straight through security, no queue at all, 2 lanes open because of new scanners being installed. Flight left on time. Total chaos at TFS, One hours 20 mins to get through passport control, queue well outside terminal building. Return Jet2 flight 03Feb LS224 again bang on time, lovely smooth landing and straight through border control, 10 minute wait for bags. How I love to use LBA

My wife has an Irish passport which means I can go through EU passport channel with her…saves an awful lot of time. She only got it a year ago, brilliant way of que jumping.

Went through the airport yesterday late morning. Due to all the works going on, I got an e-mail the day before saying I am being moved from the Short-Stay car park to the Mid-Stay one which was packed so ended up having to go down to Mid Stay 2.
Ryanair bag drop is simple…security is great with the new scanners, no need to take iPads etc out of your hand luggage, just the one working but it's quick so I can imagine when they are all up and running there will be very few long queues like we had.
1432 lounge not so good…I only had to pay £10 as I have my Priority Pass..asked if I could have a full English and the lady said no as breakfast stops at 11am and it was 11:15, fair enough. There were 3 couples in there inc my wife and I.
Views are great but that's about all I can say, you are allowed 1 complimentary glass of Prosecco then anymore you have to pay for which is a bit out of order if you are paying the full price of £45.00 per person. Used Manchester early Feb on our way to Florida and it's unlimited Prosecco and Champagne.
I really like our local airport and I’m sure when all the works are finished it's going to be fabulous but I would never pay full price for the 1432 lounge as its just not value for money.

Landed tonight at 20:15 on FR2504… no need for buses…off first and after a swift walk we were first at passport control (or whatever they are called these days) …however we had a suitcase in the hold….we literally waited 6 mins and it was on the carousel and we were out…superb service by the baggage handlers 👏👏

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
