Well usually, even if it wasn't going to collapse, articles like this ensures it will as people stop booking. Well done ITV!
Yes I was just about to say the same which is exactly what happend with Monarch in the end.

It is probably best we say no more on the matter so at least we can say we were responsible.

Its out there now on Googe news. ITVX.

If this is true, you have to wonder why, just a couple of weejs ago, they announce a new route to Leeds, and even more so, why they sign up to operate from NQY to LGW on behalf of JH' airline, pending delivery of their own ATRs.

You are dwight on the money there @Bigman

Rumours now that G-ISLP has been blocked in by a deicing truck. I believe it is on the ground at GCI plus conflicting information about SI flights tomorrow in general. Seems to be additional smoke rising from the fire. Let's hope for all concerned this is not what it is increasingly seeming

Bearing in mind how vital this airline is for Jersey in particular, I will be surprised if the Jersey government don't step in to support them.

Hopefully, but I’m afraid I’m not totally convinced. I understand they’re already in debt to the bank of Channel Islands. If it wasn’t for the Guernsey connections I think Aurigny would be facing a similar fate.

BBC

Airline Blue Islands has suspended trading, with all future flights cancelled, the company has confirmed.

In a statement, the airline said passengers should not travel to airports unless they have made alternative travel arrangements.

The airline operated flights to various locations in the British Isles, and also to Bruges and Paris.

The BBC has approached the Civil Aviation Authority for comment.

What do we think the chances are of LM picking up the SOU-LBA service?
Well they are opening a JER base but prioritising services linking the islands with the mainland for medical needs etc. So presumably, Southampton. Beyond that, who knows how much of the Blue Islands network they'll pick up. Perhaps a look at early bookings in LBA-SOU might persuade them one way or the other.
At least it's likely that Blue Islands staff can have a new job with Loganair.

I wonder where Loganair found the spare aircraft capacity so quickly? It feels like they saw this coming.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!
If anyone would like to share their local airport news right here in our news area let me know so I can give you the correct permissions to do so. It only takes a couple of minutes to upload a news story with an accompanying image. survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
