Whoever presents must stress that this is a MODERNISATION application and not an EXPANSION application. Anyone rejecting this application is effectively supporting a far less green terminal facility!

I think its a very good idea, no point us supporters going to all this effort in petitions etc for then for nobody to be there giving our support argument

Well you have to notify the council in advance if you wish to speak - in total only 12 minutes is allowed from all supporters of the application. Surely we have someone on here who is Zoom capable and passionate enough to speak well and concisely to support this? The Support Group is all of us - it doesn't have to be me, LBASpotter or Aviador.

It won't be me speaking however - my blood pressure won't tolerate it these days and I am not Zoom capable either. I won't even watch this meeting on medical grounds!

Have to count myself out too, as I'm already booked in to work a 14:00-22:00 shift that afternoon sadly.

I'm really hoping somebody from forums4airports can/will be able to represent LBA support Group & the views of all those whom support this project

PS: If you don't wont to post publicly on here, please feel free to either contact myself, @lbaspotter @White Heather or @Aviador via private messaging.

Great. So, anyone fancy stepping up and speaking in favour on the 11th who is Zoom capable?
As we saw at Bristol, this is good news, but means nothing knowing who is on the Plans Panel .

I'd love to represent the group but do not have the technical "knowhow" or hardware for Zoom meetings,

Unfortunately I have to count myself out as well due to a speech impediment that I have had since a child. I'm afraid that public speaking is not my forte. Life can be very strange as I earned my living as a corporate travel consultant which meant being on the telephone all day long, but I'm afraid that since I entered retirement the damned thing has raised it's ugly head again - I dread having to make a speech at my daughter's wedding later this year!

Public speaking is my worst nightmare I’m afraid but I don’t actually see a brief appearance over Zoom at the meeting having any real influence on the outcome at this late stage.

Joe Cooper has had his article published in the Yorkshire Evening Post, we were asked for our opinion on the chief planning officers report.

Thanks go to @Aviador for getting the statement out quickly as he did on a Friday.

Did everyone who commented on the proposal get an invitation to contribute via zoom, or was it selected people?

Everyone. It was included in the council email saying when the panel would meet and that should go to all who commented. So some of the opponent's might get about 10 emails!!

OK, I was .oozing to see how the zoom sessions worked if they were 2 way conversations but I assume its just a couple of minutes during which parties tell it the way they see it with no back and forth.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
