I dont know what members know but would say so and presented in an easy to understand way. Also there was a very good Q and A session. Its not about what the airport can do for us, its what we can do for the airport and turning up to a few meetings isnt asking much.

There wasn't a good turn out for the group I don't care to mention. A handful of ladies from Menston who believed they couldn't talk in their own living room when aircraft fly over. Utter nonsense of course, but apart from that I would say more people were positive or just interested.

Amazing aren't they? They certainly know how to exaggerate. They dont even realise how stupid they sound. What is it about Menston that breeds so many anti airport idiots over the years? The ghost of LACAN lives on.

I will be attending more of these. Once dates are known I will post them on here Im especially keen to attend the Menston one.

It would be nice but people have busy lives. The best thing we can do is post the links advertising the dates on here. Maybe some people will be available for future events.
There should be enough dates to choose from to suit everyone.

They are did no one tell you this information?

Jokes aside I've been near the airport when the A321NEO and B73MAX got airborne. Can hardly hear a peep ....
I guess an A321neo or max flying over say cemetery rd is probably as loud as been stood on the pavement when a hgv is passing by, so by the time there flying over menston all that will be heard is a low engine rev, crazy folk hey! Gets me how people moan about planes esp as end of the day there amazing pieces of tech and fascinating to view, we are lucky to have an airport so close!

I think secretly they are terrified of aircraft and flying so they convince themselves what horrible nasty things they are. They're clearly totally obsessed with aircraft noise but probably pay no heed to buses, lorries and motorbikes, many of which, make far more noise and deliver none of the excitement delivered by aircraft.

One reason I haven't attended these events is that I literally cannot abide these people and will always tell them what I think.

Probably because the lunatics are running the asylum.
I’m in Menston and can assure people that this blue rinse brigade don’t represent the views of those of the majority in the village!
When airport developments get raised on the local Facebook groups these folks get very short shrift from the rest on there - they seem to think they live in some idyllic country village miles from anywhere rather then a commuter village on the edge of the third biggest city in the UK.
The vast majority in Menston are appreciative of the airport, the jobs it provides and use it on a regular basis.

Thats exactly why we need members to go to the meetings.

Again its disappointing to see LBA social media team have failed to acknowledge the launch of the new EZY services - PMI on Sunday and AGP today. I know there is still time but a post on Sunday exclusively to PMI and a post today exclusively to AGP gives important and engaging information on social media. Again they could do another post with Sun Express returning. Looking at other airports who announce new/returning routes for the season (LPL) these are popular posts and engaging, with more interactions then these random videos they post, on what book do people read etc..

Jet2/Ryanair seasonal routes returning all should be shouted and promoted.. its literally free advertisement and letting the public / social media know what routes/airlines we have on offer. Customer awareness.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!
If anyone would like to share their local airport news right here in our news area let me know so I can give you the correct permissions to do so. It only takes a couple of minutes to upload a news story with an accompanying image. The news items can then be shared on the site homepage by you. #TakePart #Forums4airports Bring the news to one place!
survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
