Putting so many lives at risk, including those on the ground, should if not licensed/permitted, instant death penalty. Mess with thousands of lives, eye for a eye n all that.
May have been an estate agent doing an aerial shot of property. Have seen more recently especially some nice properties on Scotland Lane.
Not sure if they need permission before doing so!

Best thing is when they report a drone near miss in the Daily Mail the vast majority of the comments are totally dismissive of any danger and don’t believe an aircraft could be damaged or disabled. The level of ignorance is astounding.

Dear ACC Members,

I’m delighted to announce the next events in our series of community focussed engagement sessions for Leeds Bradford Airport; LBA Community.

Through the ACC, we’d like to invite the local community in Burley-in-Wharfedale to join us from 18:00 on Monday 16 June and the local community in Horsforth to join us from 18:00 on Wednesday 18 June, to hear about our future plans for the airport, update them on our recent endeavours, explain how we are working to reduce the impact of our operations and listen to thoughts and ideas on how we can work as a productive part of our local community.

Invites will also go out to local councillors and MPs in the relevant Leeds and Bradford areas.

The evening will run as follows:

18:00 – 18:30 Sign in, teas and coffees, mingle, network and view displays
18:30 – 19:30 Presentation from Leeds Bradford Airport
19:30 – 20:00 Questions from our audience for Vincent Hodder, CEO
20:00 – 20:30 Closing Remarks and Next Steps.
Other locations later in the year will include:

Menston
Kirkstall
Guiseley
Bramhope
Cookridge
Otley

All our LBA Community sessions will be held in local event spaces; returning revenue into our communities is an important element of ensuring we maintain our social licence.

I would like to ask for your help in indorsing these events and distributing this invitation to your constituents.

Please ask your constituents to click here to register for Burley-in-Wharfedale: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/lba-co...hbour-tickets-1374366078939?aff=oddtdtcreator

Please ask your constituents to click here to register for Horsforth: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/lba-co...hbour-tickets-1374362337749?aff=oddtdtcreator

The evening will be hosted by myself and our Head of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability Joselyn Rankin and I will also have a number of colleagues on hand should you wish to discuss any particular topics in more detail.

We’re really looking forward to seeing you there.

Yours sincerely,

Vincent Hodder

Two new community meetings. Burley in Wharfedale and Horsforth

I know some of you have said you will go along, its well worth it and helps even out the anti airport bias at the meetings.

Would have gone to horsforth one but having a young child and my partners line of work she may not be home in time for me to attend. No she doesn't work the streets before you ask. Law enforcement!

What about the Burley one?

Just for anyone who wonders, you dont have to live in the place where the meeting is taking place.

They are all in the local area so there should be a convenient date/time/location for everyone. If you (one) cant make one then choose another. There are several more to come so I think for anyone that really wants to come will be able to do so.

Places are limited so my suggestion would be to book, then if you cant make it just dont come.

Hope this helps.

So you saying take a place and don't come if you can't make it to the detriment of maybe another forum member?

Ideally book and if your plans change then try to find another member who wants to go.

If you dont book chances are places will be filled by the 'opposition' who I am sure are already organised enough to grasp this opportunity.

The event at Rawdon was really good to be honest. Very informative and even those who were anti airport behaved. The questions and answers doesn't have to be about night flying. If anyone makes it maybe ask about the plans for the proposed walkway and timescales?

For me I felt like it was also an opportunity to put right the views of the illinformed.
