Which ties in with what LBA said as they knew nothing about KLM ceasing ops here.
To be fair @lbaspotter seems to be ahead of the game with ops that are starting or ceasing. We've seen it on one or two occasions now when LBA haven't known about something. Either that or they just didn't feel the need to mention it.

Fingers crossed we are keeping KLM who are a mightily important airline for LBA.

Understand Eastern Airways are no longer looking for Leeds/Bradford based flight & cabin crews.

Current recruitment is just for Bristol & Teesside.
When it was originally mentioned, I went on the Eastern Airways page and did considerable searching on Google and social media pages and couldn’t find mention anywhere of Leeds Bradford recruitment, which baffled me.
I asked where it had been seen and got no response - I’m not convinced this was a rumour that grew arms and legs with no real substance

Suppose it was always too good to hope that T3 might just be looking at things away from KL, whether in their own right or not. We should definitely have known better.

As as already been mentioned though the definite upside is that we keep KL metal.
Never ever get excited when it comes to T3 or TUI and LBA!

I’ve just noticed that Eastern’s E190’s are now showing on the Sunday morning flights for KLM in November.

Yeah it should only be once weekly Sunday mornings w-legged using the Bristol based Embraer 190 aircraft.

BRS 06:00 - AMS 08:20 / AMS 09:20 - LBA 09:30
LBA 10:00 - AMS 12:15 / AMS 12:55 - BRS 13:10

All other Leeds - Amsterdam services remain operated by KLM City Hopper’s own aircraft

I will miss German Airways especially the Adler liveried aircraft.

i wonder if/when eastern will outgrow their base at humberside,if so where will they relocate to, dsa if it reopens?
sm.
They’ve been based at HUY for nearly 30 years, get completely free parking when the aircraft aren’t in use, are unlikely to grow much beyond having the ten E-jets they apparently plan on owning, have other training facilities and the ‘toy box’ on site. They ain’t moving to a fairytale airport or anywhere else for that matter.

Eastern Airways own the majority of Humberside Airport which they purchased from Manchester Airport Group (MAG) they wont be going anywhere
They don’t any more. They purchased the majority share from MAG in 2012, then in more recent years they sold themselves and HUY to Bristow Group, Bristow Group then handed Eastern back to RL for pittance. He’s made a lot of money out of it!

The problem is that HUY is operated remotely from Bristow Group, in fact the regional manager isn’t even based in the U.K. So we have a situation where the airport is effectively being run by an ex ATC with very little accountability. The balance sheet won’t even constitute a rounding error in accounting terms so it’s unlikely that Bristow really pay it much thought. So RL has a very good deal to fly from his home airport and the facilities exist on site for an airline that had a far larger fleet size in the past than it does now and is likely to get in future.

I don’t follow the logic of why they would outgrow HUY?

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
