Also depends on the equipment used. If larger aircraft used the cut is minimal.

Only for a 3 month period as things stand.

But my point was, back when Qatar reduced from 14 to 10 weekly, that was initially supposed to be for 4 months. It took nearly 2 years to get back up to 14 weekly.

Qatar will continue the use of the B77W on QR45/46 into August.

As expected, this is a rolling addition as it's supposed to be B77W all summer, so, end of April saw June update to B777, and now end of May sees July updated. Therefore, end of June will see August updated.

I'm not sure why they don't just upload the whole summer really, but, always good to see the next increases confirmed.

What are the aircraft they curreny use? My understanding is that it is generally:

B788/A330 (morning/evening flight)
B77W (afternoon flight)

In May we haven't seen any A330s, it's been all B788s on the morning and evening flights.Great to see Qatar continuing to use B777s on the lunch time flight.

Noticed Qatar used 2 B777s today.

QR45/46 was A7-BAT
QR25/26 was A7-BAI

Morning flight was the usual B787, A7-BCB.

Nice to see the flight doing well!

And as expected, September now updated to be B77W.

Slightly confusing schedule on Routesonline, mentioning that the B788 operates 16 weekly flights replacing A330.

I assume this does not mean a replacement to the B77W.

Apparently QR and IAG are to enter into an agreement, the effect of which will see BA's code placed on all flights between the UK and Doha.

Presumably there will be reciprocal arrangements.

How do we think this will affect the two airlines strategy from MAN?

QR seem to be reducing MAN from the start of the Winter 17/18 timetable.

Now showing at 11 weekly, all 788. (BHX and EDI remain daily, LHR remains 6 daily).

01NOV17-28NOV17 MTWTFSS MANCHESTER /DOHA
1234567 MAN DOH 1520# 0105 QR 28 788*C
12.4.6. MAN DOH 2100# 0645 QR 24 788*C

Early days of course, but QR are usually pretty good at keeping their schedules up to date in the GDS.

I wouldn't worry, the morning flight keeps dropping out of GDS every now and then, it's been doing it a long time with advance loading in GDS.

Seems some shuffling is going on....Winter 17/18 now shows all 788 service, 18 per week. Morning departure daily again:

01NOV17-28NOV17 MTWTFSS MANCHESTER /DOHA
1234567 MAN DOH 0750 1735 QR 22 788*C
1234567 MAN DOH 1520# 0105 QR 28 788*C
12.4.6. MAN DOH 2100# 0645 QR 24 788*C

Oddly the inbound doesn't show the same schedule:

01NOV17-28NOV17 MTWTFSS DOHA /MANCHESTER
1.3.567 DOH MAN 0125 0605 QR 21 788*C
1234567 DOH MAN 0710 1150 QR 27 788*C
12.4.6. DOH MAN 1440 1920 QR 23 788*C

Must have caught them mid-update. Wonder what we'll end up with?

This will blow over soon, just like every other 'crisis' we have had.

Remember the US block on direct flights from Turkey? People thought that would be months but it was about 3-4 days.

I could do with some advice.

I recently booked a return journey SYD-DOH-MAN and I received an email saying I could upgrade to business class on the DOH-MAN leg (QR027).

I proceeded with the upgrade and noticed upon seat selection that the aircraft had been changed to A333 instead of 788. The product on the A333 is far inferior and I would not have done so if I'd have known.

Just wondering whether they would allow me to transfer the upgrade to one of my other flights on a 788 or A388 or get a refund?!

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?

I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,
