As some of you may be aware I have been going through a difficult time of recent and, as a result, my compilation of statistics has taken a bit of a back seat.

As soon as I am able to I will return with monthly data and in the meantime I would ask that you bear with me.

Great figures, even with jet2 now at LPL for next summer im betting LBA will still be ahead esp when you look at the August figures above ( definitely summer months)
We are catching up on EMA and NCL but hopefully once the terminal improvements are completed or possibly even before who knows we may overtake these 2 airports, exciting times!
Not really LBA related but look how Edinburgh is now double the Glasgow figures, years gone by glasgow was the largest scottish airport

And before that Prestwick!

Only because it handled all the trans Atlantic traffic. Once that changed Glasgow benefitted. The decline of holiday flights, eg Britannia affected Glasgow whereas the increase in low cost, ie Ryanair meant that Edinburgh caught up and overtook Glasgow. Other factors as well, ---

Odd that DSA is even listed given that it's been shut for a year.

Another good month and 58k ahead of LPL so once again the UKs 13th biggest airport in the month. At this rate we may have to change the script on the LBA thread that still says we are the 14th biggest. Chances are the 4m passengers reference will need updating to 2023/4 too.

Obviously, LPL will do better next summer thanks to Jet2, but we have a slight increase in Jet2 ourselves plus Sun Express. So it could be fairly close next year. Let battle commence!

Perhaps once our terminal extension is complete and more apron capacity is available together with expansion from jet2, ryanair and the one im hoping for wizz who i feel could do good at LBA who knows we may hit the top 10 in 10th place, when you look at the current trend in the figures over the last 5 years or so LBA Is certainly seeing more growth.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
